Thank you for being a small part of my recovery from my second stroke, a lot of you may be unaware that I drew my contribution from a wheelchair in rehab, a few short weeks after I had to back out due to my medical setbacks...it means the world to me that I was still able to participate, and I have every single one of you to take to build the jenga tower that is Grand Design!

I got in on this late and am only part of the flip-side book Image Grand Disaster. This was a fantastic project, I was proud to be a part of it. Props to the all the Kayfabers that put this together, especially Eli for yeoman's work getting this out.

It’s such a trip to (1) see this book in tangible form and (2) to have you guys cover it page by page! But just a small note: my “dollar store” stocking stuffer watercolor paints cost AT LEAST two dollars. So glad to have been a part of this project!

I also worked with David Brouwers on the cover and the pinup. I provided the colors. Tom Orzechowski, who still letters Spawn, lettered our internal pages. I had worked with him on a previous project so I reached out. Such an amazing project!!

Very honored to be apart of this book! I came into this from the grand disaster book, but man, I didn’t realize how grand this project was until I saw it completed! Props to everyone on this book, and the friends we made along the way! Shoutout to Eli Schwab, Rocko Jerome , Mark Darden, and Greg Giordano and all the other editors in chief that kept this whole thing together, procedurally on time from beginning to end. Those guys were really keeping this whole operation together on both the grand design and disaster fronts.

im 50 years old never picked up and read a comic untlil last year there was one left on the bus and i was blown away about the story tellling abillity of the comic stlye of story telling i've always read books and have painted on and off for years but it never dawned on me to link the two together

holy shit Jim! comics saved my life as well man, I grew up in the 70's a very small town at the bottom of the world (invercargil NZ) with a violent abusive father. moving all the time with no chance to make friends. . 2000ad and second hand copies of Heavy Metal along with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer saved me from my dad and my life. the comics showed me a universe outside of my own and the aggression and lyrics in the music made me fell like others had experienced my pain. Respect to all Kayfabers xx peace
