Wow! It really doesn’t get any better…yak fishing in 50m at one of the most stunning locations on earth, landing monster Snapper…and not getting sharked! The weather only adds to the drama 😉 Congrats Alan.

Thanks so much, yeah there certainly were some challenging moments to filming this one. The rain was relentless, the storms came through which were a lot worse off camera and the sharks were plentiful, but it was an amazing experience.

Such a magical spot and awesome experience on the BH, every keen kayak fisherman should do at some point. Loved my trip, looks like you guys found the magic patch where the snaps come up from 50m to take softbaits as they drifted down crazy to watch on the sounder... great footage!

Thanks so much, it really was a magical experience, and it's definitely a trip I'll never forget. We battled some pretty challenging conditions but thankfully that morning before heading home they were switched on and a great patch with many big fish.

Absolutely AMAZING ADVENTURE! Glad you got to live this memorable experience. We've been eagerly following for the past few weeks (even more than the regular content, but this is NEXT LEVEL) We watched Byron Tea Hill fish a similar but definitely felt more personal watching your videos.

Thanks so much !! I really appreciate the kind comments. Really wanted to share this experience and show viewers all the different elements of it from the travel, the location, the scenery, the catches and the techniques whilst taking it all in and learning myself. It was a wonderful experience and i'm so glad you followed and enjoyed it. Hopefully, there will be more stuff like this next year and will also try and include some of the guests and banter on the boat which was also next level.

Why dont you go for kingys? If you have the heavier gear
@fishingmad2 күн бұрын
The plan was to jig for kings at Arid Island the following day. Unfortunately, the weather turned very nasty and we had to cancel the trip a few days early. Might be a good excuse to go back one day and chase kings.
@grimreaper61122 күн бұрын
Monster reds not many places left like that that dont get alot of fishing pressure these days.

Yeah, those snapper were massive. The gear used was a Catch Pro Series 4-8kg rod, Shimano Stradic SWB 4000 reel, 16lb Tasline and catch 6" curltails. They worked amazingly
