I will watch this leg of darts and this match for many years to come. I’ve followed and supported Michael Smith for a while and he’s always been the “bottler” or “nearly guy” and now he’s finally won his first 2 majors he’s finally broken his curse. This was such an important leg, both during the final match and as a mentality thing and obviously Wayne Mardle’s commentary really makes it’s sparkle - it’s up there with the “Aguerooooo” commentary moment. It always made me laugh that two sports that were at their most popular in Working Man's, Liberal & Con clubs around the UK, darts and snooker, had such differing crowds at the professional level! One is absolute bedlam, the other is like a library!

Being in california, it was so hard to watch this live since I was at work due to the time difference. Darts is my new favorite sport. Wish it was bigger in the USA. Well atleast steel tip, it's primarily soft tip here, drives me crazy!

oh this is great, not familiar with the sport at all but it's easy to see the skill, finesse, and mental calmness it takes. so fun to watch people who have mastered any craft, putting the hours and practice in really shows a lot of character really appreciate you sharing this with us Daz, another top recommendation. great quick explanation of the goal at the beginning as well

Thanks for the reaction Blokes! Discovered pro darts around 2007 and gotta say it's one of the best spectator games out there! The throwers enter with lights, smoke and a girl on each arm like a damn pro wrestler, the crowd has been drinking hours before it starts and the announcer calls the score like Bruce Buffer "oooone 'undred and eiiiighty!!!" The way the crowd sings between each leg, the camera zoom onto the board just amps it up! It's such a raucous, electric, booze fueled atmosphere! Seeing 1 live is on my bucket list.
