If you still wanna watch more MJ (and there are still a ton of impressive clips not in this video on KZbin) - the next best mixtape is "Michael Jordan Voyager (1/2)" I think he had the best motor in all of sports history. He played like this every game which people would say online, and I didn't really believe until I watched individual game highlights, and then individual games haha. After all, no one plays like that all the time... right? Prime D Rose highlights are awesome too. Feel like people are starting to forget what his potential was, he would've been in the same conversation as Steph Curry/current all stars if not for the injuries. Definitely would've won some rings, that dunk he had on both LBJ and D Wade is unforgettable

You should react to michaels passing highlights. People think he was avarage or below avarage... michael was an elite passer... in a series he avaraged 11 assist per game while scoring 31pts per game. Michael in todays game would avarage 40 pts per game easy.

Average 30? You're as delusional as Charles Manson on LSD trips. He averaged that against the greatest perimeter defenders all-time (Moncrief, Alvin Robertson, Cooper, Rodman, Payton, Dennis Johnson, Dumars) and the greatest rim protectors all-time (Hakeem, David Robinson, Mourning, Mutombo, Eaton, Parish, Rollins) in an era where today's flagrant fouls were just common fouls. I'm old enough to have witnessed prime Mike ball and it's no hyperbole when I say he'd eat today's defenders like Dahmer after a hunger strike. He'd average 40 ppg and like one of the best defenders of his generation (Ron Artest) said "easy." If he played today he'd still be ahead of his time. The guy was an alien. The bounce, hang-time, mid-air body control, aerial acrobatics/artistry and creativity. And I despised the guy cause I bled purple & gold since 1979. He was too gifted. Raw athleticism like we've never seen before. Then you add the fundamentals taught to him by a highly-esteemed Univ. dean and that maniacal mental and you have the GOAT.

Jordan was dunking on everyone in the era of the greatest Centers of all time, with no 3 second rule so everyone was camping the paint. Today with all the spacing, and no touching, Jordan would be slashing so much easier with no one able to even touch him. He would be drawing an insane amount of fouls. It would be like a 6'6 Ja Morant on crack with a godly midrange.

The guy was jaguar-like with his instincts and movements. The way he was able to leap so quick and effortlessly and come down so softly, and always on his feet. That's why he was dubbed the black cat. Them extremely fast twitching muscles granted him insane reflexes and hand-eye coordination. And that stamina is legendary. How he was able to play lockdown perimeter defense, score at will while under tremendous duress and still have the endurance to be able to take over late in 4th quarters. Where amazing happened!

MJ in this era would be easily over 40% shooter if not 45%-50%. People forget MJ’s biggest weakness when he came into the nba was his midrange shooting. Then he worked so hard on it he became the best midrange shooter to ever live. He could easily do that with his 3 point shooting if he chose to but it wasn’t needed when he was playing in the 80’s-90’s

Jordan had that quickness of a small NBA point guard in a 6'6" body. He didn't need a plethora of dribble moves to shake a defender. He was all body language. Head and shoulder shimmies, pump fakes, jab steps, hesitations, change of speed, change of direction. Dribblers wait for you to bite. Jordan MADE you bite.

He was measured at the 84 Olympics for his 48" vert, and this was after a practice. his coach at those olympics bobby knight a top 4 or 5 college Basketball coach all time said he believes he had over 50" in him if his legs were fresh. Pound for pound the biggest hands all time (had the hands of a guy close to 7'5") with what many say is the strongest grip. Reggie miller calls him mini shaq, said like shaq you run into Michael and it felt the same, both guy wouldn't move an inch.

@bwink23
@bwink23 Жыл бұрын
I saw copies of official papers at NC measuring his vert with ball, without ball, running and from stand-still. I believe you can Google search it and find them. They measured his highest vert at 46" at the time. Running, without the ball. Many will dispute 48" because there is no official document we can verify. But this one you can. Jordan rarely ever "showed off" vert in game. He often would jump only as high as necessary to complete the dunk or alley oop. There is an alley oop against the Bucks in 1984-1985 season where he really had to get up to catch it. He caught 2 hands, which lessens the vertical reach. You can tell by players around me, his arms with respect to the backboard, he is minimal eye level to the rim, and possibly his head above it at the apex of his jump

Lebron can be your guy, absolutely. But "your guy" is nowhere close to being the GOAT. MJ is all alone, all by himself. Without getting into other details, your eyes just told you that. Anyway, Bird, Kobe, and quite a few others push Lebron pretty far down the list. And that's just if honesty is a criterion.
@mikecely3610

Lebron's "GOAT" status is purely driven by sports media propaganda. MJ is the greatest athlete to ever play a team sport. Lebron is somewhere in the top 15 but he's no where near the top. Bird, Magic, Kareem, Wilt, Shaq, Olajuwon, Tim Duncan and Bill Russell are clearly ahead of him. That's just to name a few.

MJ, I believe, would average 40-45 points per game. Shaq & Rodman said Michael would average 50. His personal best occurred back in 1986/87 when he averaged 37.1 & during the Regular Season MJ averaged 30.1 for his entire career (counting his days with the Wizards) In the Playoffs, his points per game was 33.4 for his career. He outshined LeBron with 10-1 Scoring Titles lopsided category and MJ also destroyed LeBron in 50+ point games at 31-14. He also dominated in Championships & Finals MVP at a 6-4 Record. And of course he won the 1984/85 Rookie of the Year. He won the 1987 & 1988 Dunk Contest, as well.

No disrespect towards you man , I honestly can’t comprehend how you could ever put lebron as the goat . Eye test wise , he stumbles and fumbles , he’s a turnover machine , he flops and cries , he can’t really shoot good , very inconsistent , air balls free throws , hits the sides of backboards , team hopped , trades teammates , coach killer . Than he calls himself the goat , makes his wife call him the goat , now he wants his son to refer to him as the goat on the floor . He has no humility. Even than , if you get past all that , and still like him , you would think him walking off the court early when his teams losing , and not shaking hands with the other team would be enough to call him out on his antics . Dudes a fraud . He never went through the grind like MJ did , and many others actually . He took the shortcut , and still has a losing finals record . You know damn well he don’t have a mixtape like this . Jordan is the truth , and he never disrespected the greats of the game and their era . He was always humble in defeat , never pointed the finger when he was getting beat in the playoffs . He took accountability for the bulls failures . Lebron never has taken responsibility. Lebron does not deserve to even be mentioned with Michael Jordan’s name … that’s the biggest lie and narrative over the last 8 years , that the debates between them 2 . It’s not , and it’s not close bro . Lebron never passed Kobe , magic , Kareem , bird , bill Russell . Liked the video tho man , and love your energy .

It's not just the athleticism. It's the fundamentals, the footwork, the basketball skill, the body control, the grace. Then you had to that those huge hands and that competitiveness and you've pretty got the closest thing to a perfect basketball player that you'll ever see. It's why he'd still dominate today's league. You think MJ wouldn't work tirelessly to develop that 3-point shot? And I wouldn't get carried away with the athleticism of today's NBA when you have probably the least athletic guy in Jokic looking like the best player.

Excuse me but how was MJ "ahead of his time" when you have to name several players from the last 20 years skilled enough to be compared to Mike in one area of his skills? Kyrie for layups-OK! Kobe for footwork and winner mentality - OK! I guess you could add more for the dunks, the mid-range, the finish...but how come in this so athletic and skillful era there is no one that combines everything you see in MJ's play? And sorry but your boy Lebron even being much stronger and taller is a way more boring dunker than MJ, not to mention that he knows that and that's why he never dared to enter the dunk contest! And he definitely does NOT have any mid-range game whatsoever because he is am awful shooter! As for the clutch you can check your stats and see for yourself how bad he is in the clutch! So once again how come a player was so good that he was ahead of his time when the "modern" time can't produce even a single player that has at least half of his skills? Isn't it more appropriate to say that he is way more versatile and dominant player even considering modern superstars thus ahead of even this time? And one piece of advice from an old head like me: before you make any statement make sure you are well acknowledged of what you're talking about and that doesn't include only bball! Watch some old school games, examine different players, the hustle and energy put on the court, and you will find out for yourself which are the greatest players and how good they were. You seem like a nice guy and i like your enthusiasm but please watch games and players and inform yourself, you will do much better when you have to evaluate things and come to a conclusion😉and it's not only about bball but life in general. Good luck and be wise🍀

MJ Would Average 50 In Todays “SOFT” Era !
@yankee_tango

The statement about the 48" vertical is true. There was a time while he was in the league, during a practice, someone told him no way he could jump that high. They brought out the tower and had a test with all of the team and Jordan unofficially jumped 51" vertical. Now whether that is true or not is up for speculation, but I tend to believe it because MJ was interested in nothing more than winning at everything he did. That is what makes him the G.O.A.T. in my opinion. Furthermore MJ did not go to a super team loaded with all stars to win his championships, he won his titles with only one other All Star and that was Scottie Pippen.

I don't I don't know if you know this but before the shot happen against Cleveland Cleveland swept of Chicago bulls during the regular season that made it much more enjoyable to beat the team they kept beating the bulls after that next victim

Michael played for 15 years and was done. He walked away as a King on his throne, or what we now call the G.O.A.T. LeBron is in or coming up on his 20th year. With all of the technical improvement in sports medicine and sports conditioning that athletes today have available to them, LeBron is still attempting to dethrone Michael's legacy which was laid to rest 20 years ago. Michael only played for 15 years. LeBron is in his 20th season, or coming up on his 20th season, and still chasing a pipedream of dethroning Jordan. Michael was never trying to usurp any of his predecessors. He just learned from them and added some of their flavor to his own special sauce. There was no ego in surpassing them and being crowned the G.O.A.T. at all. And this is why LeBron is failing at this. He's trying too hard.

We all understand your cognitive dissonance. It’s hard to let go of your beliefs when presented evidence. Think of how flat earthers feel when their own tests prove earth is round.
