It's a crime these guys don't have professional live recordings. Romeo's live-playing capabilities are out of this world, even when compared to other virtuosos! Truly one of the most criminally underrated bands ever

These guys are fantastic musicians. Of Sins and Shadows is another great example of a lot of the tools and techniques you highlighted in these last two videos, just total mastery of theory and sprinkling classical elements into metal music.

I don’t play guitar, I tried learning years ago, for a year and I couldn’t do it. Fingers wouldn’t just wouldn’t cooperate and I just didn’t understand anything. My teacher refunded my money and told me to never come back, I was un-teachable. I knew it too. Wasn’t a lack of trying, I tried hard. I stuck to drums, which im not the greatest, well below average but im ok with that. Point being, I love watching Shred explain things as they happen and really appreciate what guitarist can do! Hats off to Shred!🤘🤘🤘🤘

Jason Becker is the best, Jason and Marty together were the best. They were so close to equal, great partnership. Constructive atmosphere and a competitive spirit between the two created some amazing riffs, harmony, solos and interludes. X IS GREAT but something special between Jason and Marty.

Galneryus (Japan) has a lot of cool shredding (both guitar and keyboard) going on. Their (second) singer is kinda hard to digest, but man, Syu (guitar) is a speed demon!

Yes, I would easily agree with the statement of Symphony X being the best neoclassical metal band of all time. Just saw them a couple of weeks ago in Montreal. You will have a great time for sure! Also, go check out their first records, they used neoclassical elements even more there. For me, the Divine Wings of Tragedy is their best.

Yes. Symphony-X is the best. They have been around since 1994. Romeo is the king. But old dudes who grew-up in the 80's can't do this forever. Who will keep metal alive for the next generation? Answer: Japanese chicks. ( Yes, shocking, I know. ) You need to start paying attention to LOVEBITES. Miyako is literally following in the footsteps of Romeo. They are already playing bigger shows than Symphony-X in Japan. Big productions. They already have several high-quality concert Blu-Ray's out. The only reason they are not more well-known in the west is because Covid delayed their path. This band is bringing the metal, and they don't mess around! Miyako and Midori is the new twin-guitar attack. Drummer Haruna is the cutest little big engine on the planet! It might take some time to get used to Asami's unique vocal style, but she is AMAZING. Symphony X is an amazing band, sadly like Dream Theater, it's just one of those bands where the talent is incredible, but apart from a few songs I can't really get into it. Like it's a great band, just not one that is on my playlist pretty often. I've seen them live and it's another level though
