I actually had the pleasure of playing Soter Dave a few months back randomly in a free for all duel server. I was able to get one kill before he proceeded to massacre me with a cudgel repeatedly. It was cool watching yall live stream and he always seemed like such a cool and chill guy

Back when I was level 300, I bought a quick 'how am I doing' lesson from Dave. And it was literally just that one lesson that pushed me into realizing where I was going wrong in my duels. I'm now level 800+ and a significantly better duelist and I basically owe that to him. Thank you, Dave.

As someone that is 35 and has been part of online communities for a while, it’s sad to see yet another young man in another online community end themselves too soon. Dave is the reason I was able to improve my skill at the game, his videos helped me tremendously to understand the game mechanics better than I ever have before, after binging his videos and practicing all the tech and strats he taught, in duel servers for hours and even days, I’m able to pub stomp games even with a good number of skilled high level players on the opposite team, all thanks to Dave. I was already a huge fan of the medieval slasher genre (chiv and more mordhau specifically) but Dave’s passion for the game and the community rubbed off on me. I will continue to learn new ways to play and improve and evolve my play style in honor of coach Dave. RIP Dave and thank you for spreading your love and knowledge of this game we all use as an outlet ❤
