The greatest playoff match! Forest 4-5 Yeovil after extra time - 2006/07

Following a 2-0 win at Huish Park for Forest, the second leg at the City Ground of the 2006/07 League One playoffs against Yeovil seemed to be a formality, with Wembley arrangements reputedly already made. However after a first half goal from Arron Davies, what followed was an epic battle that would be taken to extra time and finish 5-4 on aggregate to the Glovers. In the aftermath of the game, Forest would sign two of Yeovil's players, Arron Davies and Chris Cohen, for a combined fee of £1.2 million

Commons not one of your best players then? Taking a 2-0 lead despite having no shots on target and getting a penalty for a clear dive was pretty lucky. If you can't hold a 3-1 lead at home that's not bad luck, it's bad management. 3-1 up with ten minutes to go, take off both strikers, and bring on one who was not fit.

We can’t make excuses for this one, we capitulated with ten minutes to go. Yeovil smelt blood and went for it, which is what you have to do in circumstances like these.

@@greenandwhitegoals3344 yeah I’d forgotten that we took our strikers off. Calderwood always had a habit of seeming surprised when we shut up shop and the opponent tried harder to score and didn’t just accept defeat.

Defo not the greatest. Leicester vs Swindon, Charlton vs Sunderland….been so many. Best thing to do is to look at where both teams are now 😂
