Love how in virtually every (it is every) interview the players express how much they loved being at Forest and their love for the City. Being at Forest seems to always be what they see as a real high point, no matter the situation they found themselves in. Respect Paul.

He was such a good player for us that I always think he was with the club longer than he actually was. They were great days. These are great interviews and the one thing that has struck me from all the players so far is how much love and respect for the club that they _still_ have. Once in the family they are never out of it.

Great honest interview. Enjoying the content. Could we have Eric Lichaj soon? He worked under 7/8 managers at Forest in 5 years. It would be interesting to hear from him.

My lad's favourite player when he first started watching Forest, a shame we never got to meet him but comes across really well in this video at what, for various reasons, seems a really crazy time at Forest and one we're unlikely ever to hear the complete story about.

I’ve heard Paul interviewed a couple of times since his playing career ended and he is admirably open about some of the decisions he made and the struggles he’s faced. For example, his comments at the end about not fitting into a boisterous football environment as a younger, quieter lad. A lot of people can relate to that unease at a younger age, but it’s not something a footballer would typically admit to. Not that it came across in his performances: he was a really good player, who would have performed at a higher level if not for injuries. I remember his relationship with Gunter on the right and his hard work and willingness to cover, as well as his attacking pace.

Not signing Shorey, or an adequate replacement, along with the on off possible signings of Whittingham and Pratley probably stopped us getting promoted that first play off year.
