The Super Bowl was good but I wouldn't say it was legendary, it was like a generic good game to me if that makes sense. Got to give credit to Hasselback for rebounding from a moment like this. Alot of players would've been haunted from a play like that for the rest of their career. He went on to have a pretty solid career. In fact, 2 years later, he was the starting QB for these Seahawks when they played in the SB vs. Pittsburgh. We all know how that one turned out.

That Panthers- Rams game is an emotional one for me. I grew up in the St.Louis metropolitan area and was a Rams fan at the time, so that loss was extremely heartbreaking. I was also watching the game with my grandfather. I remember him saying he didn't like the Rams anymore because of how they treated Kurt Warner that year. It was also the last time I saw my grandfather alive.

Warner couldn’t win with the Rams anymore. He’d proven that on 2002 and when they gave him one last shot in 2003 he failed again. The resurgence in 2007-09 with the Cardinals is what made Warner’s story all the more astonishing.

The lowest-scoring Super Bowl of all time wasn't in the 60s or the 70s; it was in 2019 when the Patriots defeated the Rams 13-3. In 2023, the average score per team per game was 21.8 points, a whole 1 point better than 2003's 20.8 points. I think your comment is less about teams "not being allowed to play defense" (because the stats don't support your argument) and more about the NFL cracking down on the really dangerous plays that end players' seasons or even careers and cause long-term debilitating injuries: hits on defenseless receivers, helmet-to-helmet hits, hits below the quarterback's knee, kickoff returns in general, etc. The NFL has a long history of legislating the most brutal, senseless violence out of the game. Players used to be able to lock their arms together in a flying wedge formation. Players used to be allowed to clothesline ballcarriers. Today, you can still tackle a player as long as it's in the "strike zone". QBs can still be sacked. Players can still intercept passes and try to hit the ball with their helmet to force fumbles.

Still remember watching it and going to school hyped the next day trying talk about the ganes but barely any other kid watched NFL to talk about it lol ended uo talking with my janitor abiut the games. Great video! This playoff season, and especially that divisional round, may have indeed been the best ever. I really do think that the combination of this playoff season, as well as the parity in wild swings in the NFL throughout the 00's, is what helped elevate the NFL to the #1 sport on America. The parity gave everyone the idea that your team always had a chance. Coming into the 2003 season, nobody thought that the Panthers would have come as close to winning the Super Bowl as they did.

This was the post-season that really got into football. I was hyped up about the previous Super Bowl, but that turned out to be a stinker (Super Bowl 37 where the Bucs clapped the Raiders cheeks). But this post-season, I remember being at a wrestling meet in high school listening to the Rams-Panthers divisional round game on my Walk-man, hanging on to every play. I was hoping the Panthers pulled a 2001 Patriots and pulled off the upset in Super Bowl 38.

I don't quite understand why the NFL doesn't offer streaming service that lets you watch old NFL seasons. I know farther back you go the resolution is much lower, but lower quality video is better than zero. You can binged any TV show on tons of streaming services, but you cant stream the most popular American sport's history? If they don't have the footage of all the games, then NFL films hasn't done the sport near the justice it deserves. It is quite surprising when you think about how greedy the NFL actually is.

We just watched nearly 40 minutes of all of the playoff moments. My favorite moment is when Eli Manning threw the ball to David Tyree for a helmet catch over Rodney Harrison. Then, Eli Manning is the only quarterback to beat Tom Brady twice in the Super Bowl. Bears return specialist Devin Hester scored on a kickoff return for a touchdown against the Colts in the Super Bowl. We love the Super Bowl matchup between the Panthers and the Patriots. Tom Brady won the MVP as he threw for 354 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception. Deion Branch had 10 catches for 143 yards and a touchdown. Thanks y’all for all the best moments.

I'm old school. I'm going with 1981 playoffs as the best ever. All the games were classics even the AFC title game in Cincinnati because of the weather " The Freezer Bowl". Only 1 was a real stinker with Dallas clobbering Tampa Bay 38-0. You had " The Catch" ..The Shootout in Miami..." The Freezer Bowl". Both the Bills vs Jets and Eagles vs Giants games came down to the wire. These were all pretty much exciting games played when football was FOOTBALL!

pats fans don't like to talk about how good pats defense was early 2000's. in 2003 pats defense was 1# in NFL. brady first 3 supers it was pats defense and running at best brady was game manager qb.
