Great player but noticed that he never used his off hand to take shots or dribble. Nowadays, he would be a bench player if he can only go to his strong side. Anyways, kudos since he was the only PBA rookie/MVP that year (1989 I think).

Aminado si Paras don sa weakness nya, sya mismo nagsabi kung paano daw sya pipigilan, dalhin lang daw sya sa kaliwa kasi mahina yung kaliwa nya. Pero kung sa panahon ngayon makakapag-adjust yan kasi si Paras puro ilalim ang laro pero later sa career nya dinevelop nya yung outside shot kasi alam nyang tumatanda na sya. Ganyan din mangyayari kung ngayon sya maglalaro, idedevelop din nya yang kaliwa kasi no choice sya kailangan nya mag adjust.

@@Jrspy007 In 1999, Paras dominated the Filipino-American laden PBA by leading Shell to another Finals appearance, this time against Tanduay Rhum Makers bannered by Fil-Am Eric Menk and the deported Sonny Alvarado. Paras held his own against the two taller, stronger and more athletic Fil-Ams as he led Shell to another title winning it 4-2. That would be Paras' last title, as his team was unable to stop the San Miguel Beermen in the title showdown for the Commissioner's Cup. Paras would win his 2nd MVP since 1989

Basketball nowadays is more of a jump shooting contest. If Benjie Paras starts playing today he will not be a leading scoring option. Instead a big man who will pass to the outside and look for an open 3 point shooter and anticipate for an offensive rebound. Also do the dirty works in the paint area. I don't think he will win the ROY and MVP in the same year the way basketball is played today.😊😊 Maybe his game would be similar to Al Horford of the Boston Celtics if he plays in the PBA in present. Anyway nice throwback highlights of the TOWER OF POWER😊😊
