they have a lot of great songs. I mostly remember them from the late 70's in the projects in New Orleans with Block Parties. Get Down On It, Cherish, Celebrate, Fresh, Jungle Boogie, Too Hot, Let's Go Dancing, Joanna, Victory... these dudes have hits!

I most definitely enjoyed Kool and the gang dawg they most definitely did there thang in the 70s and 80s I got an idea on another group you could do one on how about doing one on the Village People you know they most definitely have the whole wide world 🌐 singing there song YMCA from America to the International Countries know that song.

I didn't realize they were around in the 60's! Wait, hold up... you mean the dad actually knew Thelonious (@ 1:16) Monk?!?! How cool is that? This REALLY IS OLD SCHOOL! I was only familiar with the couple of tunes that made it on the pop charts I wasn't familiar with their early stuff (except "Jungle Boogie"); quite a resume!!! I've got a NEW appreciation of this group. I remember hearing sometime in the 80s a stat stating that they were more popular with white audiences than black audiences at that particular time. GREAT CONTENT! 🤜🏼🤛🏼 Edit: okay, I just came back from randomly hearing one of the songs "Open Sesame"... SHAZAM!!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've been a fan of Kool & The Gang, since the 70's. And I love their late 70's-80's period, as this is the period when Kool & The Gang hit their peak. I'm also glad that Kool & The Gang were chosen to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, c/o 2024. My favorite songs by Kool & The Gang are: "Jungle Boogie", "Hollywood Swingers", "You Don't Have to Change", "Ladies Night", "Jo-Anna", "Celebration", and "Victory".

One of my all time favorite funk/R and B bands. I was so big on this group there are too many hits to name but everything after 1973 was on and popping after that for me. One song from the disco era is their song “I like music”, that was my jam!
