can i take a sec to acknowledge that phillip was a playboy and wealthy bachelor and very hesitant to even hop on board with Barnum’s circus, then he sees anne and he’s all in now while he opens his eyes to what love really is and is willing to sacrifice his wealthy lifestyle for her despite the social hierarchy of the era as seen later in the film. seriously, it can’t get any better than that.

the fact that people are trying to say zendaya "isn't black enough" for them is disgusting; the level and tone of your melanin isn't what makes you black. simply BEING black is enough, you being black while saying she isn't dark enough still makes you racist to say that. pathetic (!!!----ALSO--- its important to remember black comes in ALL shades and tones; people can be very dark skinned, lightskinned, etc. on tone AND black people can also have albinism and vertigo, which could make them appear to be white but that does not make them so. just thought I'd add this.) with so much discrimination in the world a good step would be to start trying to end the stigmas from within.

@Joyce Williams I think you are missing a point too. Colorism is bad. So many Black people see being black as a spectrum. The lighter you are the better. People needs to stop associating skin tone/color with quality, skills, talent, education. So being light skinned doesn't take away from the fact that she's a good actress. It's what movements like BLM are fighting for, that your skin color doesn't define you, and that's the truth.
