I love this movie, and it's weird but I sympathized more with Clyde. Nick aka Jamie's character was very arrogant and he didn't care about what the victim wanted.

Definitely I completely understand the perspective. It’s a difficult movie to pick sides on because neither of them are really wrong if you think about it.

100% agreed, Rotten Tomato is absolute crap from a critics review perspective. Watching your thoughts on Nick's character I actually had a new thought arise. Even though Nick "changed" at the end how good was he really that it took a dozen people dying to change.

One of the alternate endings has Nick being fooled by the fake bomb which results in the death of the Mayor and Council along with the destruction of the entire building. Nick the kills Clyde in his cell (gun/knife) and is arrested. Nick recieves life without parole, no deals were offered. Rumors of Law Abiding Citizen 2 are floating around.

He is naked and unarmed so if he is shot or killed. The cops cant claim they even thought he had a weapon.

I think the 26% score were the people angry about the unsatisfying ending and wasn’t a reflection on the entire movie.

He allowed Nick and ghis family to live! He told him that! School schedule...etc. He wasn't planning on living or he wouldn't have went back to his cell! He wanted Nick to witness the ordeal so that he wouldn't forget it! Remember when the "attorney general" said "your gunning for my job!" So he directly made Nick the "acting Attorney General" so he could change the system! We can only change the future decisions....Clyde left him with a chance to change it!

Honestly, Nick brought all of this all on himself. If only the man actually cared about justice instead of caring about his record

Those who can't do critique. Most critics hate good movies and love movies that fit their beliefs, or they get gifts from the studios to up the rating.

Getting naked lets the cops know without a shred of doubt he wasn't carrying a weapon. Ensuring they would arrest him, without possibly shooting him on the spot. Thus ruining the rest of his plan.

No cuadra.

I wish this movie ended the way it was supposed to but NOO Jamie Foxx pulled his usually BS and forced the script change so his character wins... He is his character but never learned the lesson his character did in this movie.

when mayor putting nick in charge as newly appointed district attorney also Clyde's plan after killing jonas . its all part of Clyde's plan.and he place bomb to kill mayor to make sure nick new position get seal off . when nick had gun his hand in his sell Clyde was smile .. in that moment he new nick was change ..he take the lesson. and bomb was inside his sell . but he has no interest to living ..he change the nick to fix the corrupt system as district attorney. in the end nick was with his family ..in earlier he wasn't spend the time with his family .. and Clyde won . the irony was ....they have to break there own law to one step ahead of Clyde..( even cell phone killing moment 20:30 judge say she can do what ever in her position. clearly dictate the power ) most people didn't get the deep meaning of some of the movies .

Good reaction. You’ll find a lot of critics don’t like strong masculine characters. “Toxic masculinity” crap etc. The critics are almost always left wing. Chris Pratt in Terminal list has critics at 40 and audience at 95. Typical.
@Finians_Mancave Жыл бұрын
You could have made your point without turning it political. Are you seriously arguing that Jack Reacher only appeals to conservative Republicans? As far as this movie goes, I guess your idea of a "strong masculine character" is a man who kills everyone in his path if it furthers his agenda? Geez, I wish you weren't such a stereotype, but your comments are just so predictable for a certain type of double-digit IQ guy who lives out in the country, knows guns and not a whole lot else....

Dislike, the best scene was not reacted to! Nah I kid, one of the best movies that somehow I never hear people talk about. Only thing I wanted different is the ending. Clyde didn't win. Nick was never his intended target. Because he knew Nick was eventually gonna understand if only partly. He wanted to show the system needs amendment. And he wanted those that would never understand out. And he did for the most part.
