Despite the flaws (most of which come from age and just issues of Nerf styled blasters in general) These still look like a lot of fun even after 17 years. I knew about them and skipped them because 1. I wasn't too into nerf blasters. And 2. Even for Nerf, my mom and dad had a strict "No guns, toy or real" rule. I may actually hunt these down to have for nostalgia, because I remember seeing the commercials for these almost every day back when I was 5 (I was 5 in '07)

A slight correction, the Starscream blaster barrels are the missiles, not the jet exhaust. However, that also adds to how cool these blasters are. You're shooting missiles out of the missiles!

I have to say, most transforming toys peaked at that era for whatever reason... the optimus prime one seems pretty cool and possibly useable in a game. We need a community made transforming blaster. Maybe something from the dart zone solo #gamersupps

I never forgot about them :) I still remember the commercial where the actor was pushing the truck along the concrete ledge and converting it into a blaster. I was so happy when I found one in a thrift store for really cheap.

I had the Optimus blaster. A little fact was that the Optimus blaster actually has a sort of scope. When it's open, you'll notice that on top of the grill is a clear window that acts as a scope.

They would also make another Optimus Prime Battle Blaster for the next year's Transformers Animated cartoon series. This Optimus is a fire truck that isn't a nerf blaster but has lights and sounds and transforms in much the same way, and it's considerably rarer. There was going to be a Megatron blaster who turns into an Osprey helicopter but was cancelled. So just for the toy truck playability factor and the fact I handled one at Goodwill, I like and prefer the Optimus prime nerf blaster like many others. #gamersupps

I still have my Optimus prime one like a decade later, it's not in such a good condition because I played a heck of a lot with it when I was a kid, I even rode it on the street multiple times so it's now missing some wheels, but I recently just found it in storage this year and now that I'm more knowledgeable about modding and stuff, I decided to open it up (It's a really hard blaster to open up) and I cleaned up the internals, lubed up the plunger system, removed the air restrictor and upgraded the spring. I use it to shoot ultra darts cause Ultra darts are the only ones that worked (haven't tried N series darts yet). They don't shoot mega darts, mega darts are bigger and won't fit.

There’s also an “Animated Optimus Prime” one. And I own that one and the 2 in your video. But I used to own them, my dad threw them in the trash just because I don’t “play” with them anymore. And I’m still mad he threw them away. I got the 3 of them in a garage sale. The Animated Optimus Prime was missing a panel, but I was ok with it.

There were also versions of these based on animated Optimus prime and Megatron! Optimus was based on his super mode but they were both cut sadly, although there are pictures of them that exist

Well I advise you to get a gun cleaner kit. The matter is that you said your toy nerf guns don't fire as well as before so you obviously need to work on a way to clean the barrel properly which is why I suggested & recommend the gun cleaner kit. Because no one likes a stuck obstruction in the nerf toy gun barrel part that restrict the dart airflow from full potential!

I haven't, i miss my Optimus one. Also, i think they should probably do another collab like this one, but slightly different. Take the studio series, and have it be the iconic blasters used by autobots and deceptions alike throughout the years made into nerf blasters, with the arm one's being designed the most like this, where you put your arm inside it. You can't tell me that wouldn't sell well enough to justify the line.

#gamersupps I gotta be honest, I only ever got to experience the Optimus blaster in person, so I am more biased towards Optimus here. But I did enjoy rolling him around before acting like I was combining with the toy to transform it into the blaster mode. It was so fun to play with as a kid. I don't have it though since it was at a family's home that I was visiting at the time.

I dunno why this video was suggested to me but I've got both of these in my wardrobe. Shame I've lost all the darts. I found that Optimus was the better gun being easier to pull the pump bit and aim and seemed to have better firepower but Starscream was easier to play with in vehicle mode
