I love your drawings and idea of giving each pebble its own “background place”. May I suggest giving these pictures some colours like “your memory of colour or mood” in that scenery. I am not an artist, but an art admirer, and I really appreciate when artist give their own interpretation of the landscape.

Oh Lordy, those fibers you put through the drum carder were more beautiful than any treasure found under the sea. Not sure if it was the light or what but each color worked to create an extraordinary palette. Not sure i would have been able to do anything other than just hang it on the wall as is! But I know it will spin up beautifully. Your creations are always amazing and your color choices always make my heart sing. ❤

The walk looks great. So glad someone else is also not frantic production knitting. The older I get the fewer clothes I want and treasure my old ones for timelessness. Still love spinning but need to use the piles I spun in COVID anxiety. Hope the show goes well

Yay! A new Green Bean episode! Lovely to see you, Katie. Your names for your wool batts are delightful! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on what makes knitting success. There's so much emphasis online and in society on getting finished objects. For me, the best thing is the figuring it out, the process, if I can enjoy that and find satisfaction there, it doesn't matter how long it takes.

This was such a lovely episode! I was reminiscing yesterday with a friend of our hike to Pen Y Fan and seeing more of South Wales through your videos makes me want to go back and see more every day! The different steps of wool processing are so fascinating to me and you always manage to record those with such obvious care, your podcast always makes me want to slow down and take the time to enjoy various artistic processes! I've desperately been missing doing some form of craft for a while now, but I am getting the itch more and more thanks to you and my friends! I also wanted to mention that I was recommended your channel through my best friend and I started to go through your videos one by one last month (I am lucky I have so many more to go through still!). They have been such a great help for me mentally, as I've been through a period of heavy stress, and I am very grateful to you for sharing such a caring, mindful place on the internet. Your podcasts are filled with wonder for many things, and feel like a deep breath and a hug. I wish you, your partner and Jack all the best!

Katie, I love the shirt you are wearing. The green carpet story was relatable; we had similar green carpet in my house while growing up. By bedroom had shades of blue shag carpet! Love those ‘70’s🤣 My adult house has hardwood floors with a few tiled floored rooms. My sewing and knitting has slowed. The mitered square blanket is ridding my space of leftover sock yarns slowly. I’m almost 1/2 way through the project. I’ve had to step back from sock knitting for awhile. I need to do sweaters (jumpers, cardigans) again; something on a larger needle. My sewing has ventured into drafting my own dresses; not being too successful yet. It’s all about the process and learning.

Awe, that was a beautiful podcast Katie. When you drew the poles from the beach, the ones with the rocks stuffed in between, I thought that the rocks looked just like the heads of three sheep, lol. That would be so fun, if you would draw faces on them, just to see, what it looks like. 🙂 I love your self drafted sweatshirt style jumpers a lot. Will you make them into a pattern? Loved the eco printed silk shirt too. You are right, they are your colours and style. I am obsessed with your glasses. The green frame is so cool. Prescious Jack. He is absolutely adorable and I hope he has many years left on this earth. I think he is so much loved, that it is like a fountain of youth to him. 🙂 Huggs from Fairy Tale Cottage, Schurwald Forest, Germany. 🍄🌲🌲🌲🐌🐞🪲🐜🐝🐛🦋🦎🌲🌲🌲🍄

Jack is the best! You are such a gentle and caring creator, and I enjoy watching your podcast. While watching this episode, I have been untangling and winding by hand the most cantankerous skein of merino fingering wool. You helped me relax through this tangled mess that requires winding by hand. No ball winder will be used again on this skein! I don't own a nostepinne and am simply channeling Elizabeth Zimmermann's method. All the best to you and Jack!

What a lovely episode today Katie! You covered all my favourite things in life! Beautiful countryside and the natural world, knitting spinning, beach combing and your dearly loved dog! Just perfect! I also went to Wonderwool and enjoyed every minute. Your batts are gorgeous and have perfect names. I’m sure dear Jack is a Jack Russell cross as he’s exactly like one of mine (called Alfie) and also much loved and thoroughly spoiled so give him an extra hug from me x

Katie, I have a little advice on processing fleece with your drum carder. You need to tease open the locks apart before you add them to the carder, putting less through the carder at a time is best. Try that the next time. I would think there would be videos on KZbin showing this process. If you can't find any let me know and I will make one.

Such a lovely podcast as always. I wonder if the drawings inspired by your hike could be in black & white if the beauty is in the form and structure, and in colour if you saw different shades of colour in the rocks and branches which inspired you. Some of each? I am not an artist but I enjoy photography and some photos just call out for black and white and others for beautiful colour. Love from British Columbia.
