I saw a short documentary on KZbin about how the people and the nation of Hawaii only have a small amount of acreage of their land It's sad that we as human beings want to consume and possess everything and forget to love each other and appreciate the roots of the people that were there before. My Hawaii you can never take away! This song brought tears to my eyes. This is a cry out to our people, there doesn't seem to be much we can do about the past but going forward, we need to be more protective about OUR HAWAII'S future in every possible way. We must somehow try to stop over crowding. This is just an island, not a continent. Yes we have ALOHA HERE. SO ITS HARD FOR US TO DO THIS. But our politicians need to be more involved in figuring some sort of plan to protect not only the 'aina our homelands but also our people. They need to think of something that could help prevent the increasing population or influx of people and the driving up costs for local residents to even survive here. Local families have to move away to live comfortably elsewhere usually selling their home to investors or foreigners most who aren't interested in living here, but just want to make money by capitalizing on buying up land, houses, beach front properties by offering even cash purchases that drive up the real estate market, making it unobtainable for local families to afford. Then there are the people who can afford to buy a house and move here because they can see it's a beautiful place to settle. So ironically we are switching places. Hawaii residents go to the states and mainland residents come here. I am not against people desiring to move here but somehow there has to be a way to limit or control what's happening. Our keiki cannot afford the future, sad to say. That's why I take this song as a cry out! MY HAWAII YOU CAN NEVER TAKE AWAY! It is a cry out from the younger generation, we must do something. MY HAWAII IS BEING TAKEN AWAY! Let's unite people, live this message in this song and figure how to stop this from happening, in our Hawaiian way peacefully, yet stand strong and kokua!

But I really, really dont want to, if I do its because i'd be forced to, to prevent my ohana be being on the streets. As a kanaka, my family has been here for generations, both sides of my family, my Dad's side from Maui and my mom's side from Waianae. My ancestors have been on these islands for hundreds, if not a thousand years. And because of what is sung about in this song...Mr. Money Man, pricing us (Kanaka Maoli's) out of our own islands, pricing us out of our kingdom that was stolen. If the day ever comes where me and my ohana have to move cause we are priced out, i will cry and i will cry my ancestors.

For so long, Hawai'i's people have been divided by the hands of the US in its conquest to divide us by racial background and control us as we fight amongst one another. It's time we took a stand as a nation, as one people, regardless of ethnic background, and unite. We will fight for this land we all call home. OUR HAWAI"I YOU CAN NEVER TAKE AWAY

I was born and raised on the islands, but have moved to the mainland over 30 years ago. My folks still live on Oahu and I come to visit for a month each time just about every year. Modern man has taken over at an alarming pace. Some of the remnant who fight to keep Hawaii Nei country are becoming more informed and united. However what is built up at alarming rates cannot be undone. It is sad to see. This song made me cry. The conquerors have vast resources and it is in their nature to ‘modernize’. We are all subject to modernization because we live in modern homes, drive modern cars, have iPhones, etc. Even those who sing songs such as these fly on airplanes, drive modern cars. Not very many people live like the Flintstones. There is no escape. I am a Christian and these things that happen to Hawaii happen everywhere else. Why? Because of sin and its pervasive effects on humanity. What is sin? Sin is basically not acknowledging and submitting to the God of all creation. What we see has started long ago. The following passages are from the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 reads: But know this: Hard times will come in the last days. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, demeaning, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people. You can avoid these people, but they’re not going anywhere. At some point in our lives, we’ve all done these things. Some of us continue to do so all the while enjoying beautiful songs such as these. In Matthew it reads,”“You are going to hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, because these things must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these events are the beginning of labor pains.” Matthew 24:6-8 CSB The God of all creation will destroy the earth in the future. In the book of Revelation chapter 16 it reads,”Then the seventh poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, “It is done!” There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. And a severe earthquake occurred like no other since people have been on the earth, so great was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the Great was remembered in God’s presence; he gave her the cup filled with the wine of his fierce anger. Every island fled, and the mountains disappeared. Enormous hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell from the sky on people, and they blasphemed God for the plague of hail because that plague was extremely severe.” Revelation 16:17-21 CSB ““Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.” Matthew 24:29-31 CSB The point of all this is that everything will pass away and we need to get right with our creator. You might be one of those people who say,”I’m not that bad of a person. I’m a moral person.” However, that’s not good enough. You’ve done something wrong along the way. Even the smallest mistake is an offense to a perfect God. He who created us set the standard of living. The CREATED has offended the CREATOR. Who is the Created? We are. The bad news is that we have all offended God and need to get right with him. For it is written: Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The good news is that He has provided a way for us to be reconciled to Him. This is the good news: For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. -1 Corinthians 15:3-4 Romans 10:9-10 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this? Again: Romans 3:10-11 None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. Luke 13:3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. So get right today with your Creator and don’t worry so much about this fading world! “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my (Jesus’) words will never pass away.” Matthew 24:35

So you’re a Christian AND support Babylon. Hmm.... maybe like the Israelites you’re happy with the slavery you’re in? This “modern civilization” which makes you work three jobs to barely scrape by then when you reach an old age; they cut off your SSI just because. Go ahead and be happy with your Babylon. Speaking of Babylon what does the Bible say in revelation about the nation with the wings mighty as an eagle??? And what’s the bald eagle to ameriKKKans?
