The Greyfyrd Lodge - Fyreslayer Lore

We have a Greyfyrd player in our Soulbound rpg group. It’s really interesting to see in play. Due to their clan’s morally gray history, the character is socially snubbed in Order gatherings. However the non-Order NPCs treat the dwarf as the party’s unofficial spokesperson since they know that he’s actually willing to do potential business with them. It has really given the various player characters different moments to shine during the sessions.

Another good tidbit about the Greyfyrd is that they also produce a lot of legendary (and infamous) heroes, especially for their size. Although the means are..uh.. pragmatic, the gold and glory is abundant and there for the taking. After that, the legends of your deeds just write themselves!

Grimnir may have been a suicidal bell-end but he hated Chaos above just about anything. So yeah, he will be pissed at the Greyfyrd if he ever comes back. And that is assuming that Grimnir would come back and it isn't Gotrek becoming the new god of Aqshy, because then they will really be in trouble.

No mention of the conversation between Gotrek and a fyreslayer in Realm Slayer, somebody mentions that the Fyreslayers have worked for Chaos and Gotrek starts trying to kill him for suggesting that they might have actually done it

Sorry this was a recollection of a great scene from the audio drama, not saying the video is bad or anything i was just hoping we would get a Gotrek reference in there (because I went from Realmslayer to Soul slayer in a week and want more Gotrek). Keep up the good work

Favourite part of that audio book is Gotrek has been stuck in the realm of chaos for who knows how long, first dwarf he see he bites the nose off.

@@johnevans5706 Absolutely, that's how I pitched the book to my mates. They know the old world Gotrek and Felix books but didn't know he had made it into AOS. "He bites a rune sons nose off in the first 5 minutes of the book" Its so good.

The Doomgron shall see all black marks upon the honorable lodges rendered unto soot, wiped from the slate. Any withheld payment is a withholding of their divine founder; and how dare any force shutter away Grimnir's rebirth? Such coercion and duress should be met only with violence. The Shroudling Kings learned this the hard way, as did Lethis, and surely at some point more mighty forces will feel this wrath as well. Grimnir may or may not care of what the lodges have done when he returns, but he cannot return until enough ur-gold is had that the Doomgron is made probable and one can be mantled by his godhead. Even the most honorable lodge will have to swallow that dark deeds saw their master return, and every hour they cling to their want of clean work is another hour of disgrace and dead slayers on the docket by their hand. Its a rough lot, but that's what I love about them. A Fyreslayer spits when a Stormcast chants "Only the faithful" - enough reforgings and the Stormcast will forget themselves, but a Fyreslayer knows the weight of faith. Great video as always!

I’m currently building my Fyreslayers army, and honestly just thought id do a bunch of each. I mean yeah, the cohesion is a bit off, but at the same time, I’m sure all factions would work together if it came to it!

One of the first characters I ever played in Soulbound was a Doomseeker from this lodge. Was he basically just an excuse to play my favorite warhammer character? Maybe. But he did help a Stormcast Eternal and 2 humans salvage a crashed Kharadron freighter from atop a flesh eater infested castle.
