I wonder how drastically Death Note would change as a story if Ryuk was replaced with Grim... Would Grim deliberately drop his Death Note into the human world like Ryuk did or would it be an accident on his part? Would the series turn into a comedy or would it stay as a drama? Would Grim be entertained by all of Light's shenanigans like Ryuk was or would he be annoyed by the drama Light causes? I think it's interesting to ponder about, but I doubt it has a chance to be anywhere near as good as the original series.
