Drumeo Excellent! I'm considering using the Gen16s in a hybrid setup too. Do you know what size hi-hat Larnell used? Are they the 13" or 14" hi-hats? I ask because it is far easier to get the pack with the 14"s in the UK : ) Thanks! Andy

Larnell is my new drum hero. Discovered him as I really got into Snarky Puppy (the most amazing music available). He's a monster player, an incredibly nice and down to earth guy, and very smart and articulate in how he explains things. Just an all around amazing guy. Did I mention he's a monster drummer?
@thedrummernator38928 жыл бұрын
Just incredible. Such musical and tasteful playing, every solo was special and memorable, not just chops flying around everywhere. Will definitely be watching and learning.

This guy has something many drummers on KZbin and such don't have, that being style. (Their own sound) The dude has a great sound man, he has groove and solid pocket. Take notes KZbin, this is how you groove! Nice job bro! And that usage of the bell to compliment those grooves, soooo nice! Finally someone uses the ride other than a crash cymbal. It is the best cymbal I own. Needs more recognition. A bell can drive a groove like no other.
@auracrosh10 жыл бұрын
Strongly agree. But honestly, I think style is one of the most vigorous jobs as a drummer, especially making it your own.
@wdrumz10 жыл бұрын
Oh of course! It's not easy by any means!
@goyolake10 жыл бұрын
Bell grooves are so 70s, and so good! Those old guitar solos driven by a smashing bell (check Alan Parsons I wouldn't want to be like you)
@wdrumz10 жыл бұрын
GoyoLake Bell grooves are the best! My drum teacher uses them all the time. Look up I Will Not Bow or Dance with the Devil by Breaking Benjamin THAT elevates a song to new heights.

New favorite drummer. Simply amazing. Larnell shows that you don't just need chops to be a good drummer. He can do it all and that puts him on a whole other level. Hybrid drumming was sick. Truly great drummer keep it up man.

some of the most useful and like tangible, easy to digest, easy to go do and things that are important and i think creativity is really the hardest for everyone or is something at least every one wants to be better in so one of the better lessons i feel like and i watch a lot of them, mostly for the live songs lol

Guys, are you hearing that? 0:51 THAT is exactly what you have to achieve as a drummer, being able to play a straight four beat consistently, with groove and musicality. Believe it or no, you can develop an awesome technique on double bass druming at 200 bpm, in example, but if you get those notes down, you will have done a major step in your drumming

Larnell is soooo good at playing inside and around in addition to with the music. When you mix the drums louder than they would be in say, a session, the drums are so loud they don't mix/blend as smoothly. The song at the beginning seemed to have the drums riding over the music instead of blending in.
