"Dull Boy" Lost in the valley of malls The kids are all eating themselves Living on capsules and balls Thinking that there’s nowhere else at all Flicking match in the sky Turning my back on my own Finally the bottle’s bone dry With a message inside That says that I’m gone I'm a dull boy with a dead dream Searching for a pulse in any given scene This city’s shrinking down I think it’s time to leave this town Pulling out while there’s still time Littered all my memories behind The statues win so let them have it Let them keep their squeaky clean Whatever was now is in ashes There isn’t anymore room here for me 'Cause I’m a dull boy with a dead dream Searching for a pulse in any given scene This city’s shrinking down I think it’s time to leave this town Pulling out while there’s still time Littered all my memories behind This city’s shrinking down I think it’s time to leave this town Pulling out while there’s still time Littered all my memories behind if anyone of you are willing to put a music(!)video on this platform.......please put the lyrics along with it.for god fckn sake.

on the morning of August 13th 2016 at 09:15 this song was playing on 91.1 KLSU while I was escaping the flood waters in Denham Springs, Louisiana. I felt as IF this song was made just for me to listen to at that particular time. I will forever love this song. It was the anthem of that city that day.

@franzierhudson that's right, bro! That is why this album sounds amazing. They dedicated this entire album to one of their friends that passed away. When you create something with that genuine sincerity, it comes out real soulful and rootsy.

Such a uniquely crafted eclectic sound! Love the Johnny cash vibes, also getting hints of 80s Simon & Garfunkel sounds within a surfer psychedelic, slightly country sound. Love to this band, along with Allah Las! 🖤

I discovered this song at a sad yet perfect time. I had moved to an entirely different state seeking a major life improvement. In 3 years there I made friends, advanced in my profession, and fell in a deep infatuation with a girl. In the final year I discovered that none of them were real friends, they were never there when I needed them. I was backstabbed at work. And the girl I fell for was just leading me on. I felt lost and hopeless, my surroundings were all tainted with these memories I couldn’t let go of. Then I found this song, it was like it was written for me. It helped me realize it was time to not only let go but literally move on. I moved out, got a way better job, and now have an abundance of romantic options. Thank you Growlers, this song helped me so much. It was like finding a support system that knew what I was going through and told me “there was still time” to change the trajectory of my life 🙏

My ex, my first love, showed me this song, specifically this band and whenever I hear their tunes it just takes me back to a time of my life when I was in falling heavily for this girl. No matter what, it was nice while it lasted, now these songs make me melancholy happy if that makes sense

+Elsa Ramirez I'm not a fan either, starting with the stage-name "Lorde" and what that says about the ego of the person who chose to call themselves that. But it's always good when someone high-profile puts attention on something obscure that is on a higher level artistically. Maybe some Lorde fans will buy some Growlers tracks and start listening to better music as a result. :-)
