This song was my only company when I first realized drugs and partying was not the best for me and that the people I used to call friends were actually just people who I got high with. It was hard and today I can see it kinda still is, I'm in a total different place right now and super confortable and proud of who I've become, but somehow those emotions are still in there wanting me to take a look at them. They are telling me that all that process was hard, and I lived it all alone, I'm a warrior and I should realize it. Now I'm back here in this song for some reason, and I'm thankful for it. For those who are in that same process, I hug you, you're strong, and you're leading yourself to a much more beautiful place ❤ you're not alone, God is with you all the time

this song breaks my heart. it came out at a time in my life that i consider my happiest time, but so much has changed now and I've grown so much, far apart... i still have the memories. "and the ending still will never change..." a great musical moment. i miss these old times, i hope to replace them, one day..
@CristianCastroCristianC10 ай бұрын
I could say the exact same thing, sending love and strength hard times aren't forever and finding the little things of happiness is hard at first after a while it become much more familiar again to feel good. I hope your worries and troubles have subdued and if they haven't keep fighting that fight because if you've made it this far the lessons and hardships only make you wiser, stronger and more appreciative of just simple joys and moments. One thing is for sure you have good taste in music if you're here and that's always a great start because music is what helped and probably saved me through my toughest time alone or while I felt alone. 💖

I was gutted when i first heard city club. I felt the growlers had been unmanned by the slick- too slick- production. They'd lost their mongrel. But I chilled and opened myself up to the new slippery groove and man, the songs are killers. It's the growlers, but not as we'd known them up to now. It's evolution, baby, and I'm going with them!! Peace and love.
@debraroux46747 жыл бұрын
tramster it's a real studio production - not a garage recording. Julian Casablanca (The Strokes) produced it. I like it ALL; but MOSTLY this introspective, gorgeous singer & performer💕💋☮️
@bigbud68425 жыл бұрын
Consider how much work and time and momey they had to personally put in to doing production themselves. The. Think about how much more time they have and momey and etc.. to put back into their music and work now with a big time producer heloing them on the projects? I actually came in on this stuff before i fou d all their older goldies. As someone who has produced personally and for 3 dofferemt small time bands of very different genres i gotta say i cant imagine the work it took to get the sound they used to have, people think its just playing instruments but its not. So i salute you sir for being open to a band changing their sound, its a womderful thing!

This is exactly how I feel I realize that partying serves me no purpose but it's hard to just leave the scene with everyone else you know just involved, it's like you just enlighten yourself enough to get away from drugs, you still need to fill a void somehow but at the same time know that drugs don't do anything for you to really help cope with life in the first place besides turn you into an addict

Too soon, wanted more time Could've held out, but your clock was ticking No easing in, straightened out lines Alone with your thoughts 'Cause your friends are still in Night clubs and back rooms Baggies in the bathrooms Nothing's changed but you Saying nothing's missing Thoughts are drifting away from you Morning sun fills the void Now you see there never was a point Over and over and over again Till you can no longer pretend you are sane Try but you couldn't get any more sure And the ending still will never change Over and over and over again Till you can no longer pretend you are sane Try but you couldn't get any more sure And the ending still will never change Tomorrow night'll go on without you Go on without you there Tomorrow night'll go on without you Till dawn and no one will care You can't know, it's a move in the dark Hesitation leaves you hung on the lip Unclench your teeth Peel off the smile See no one there, and you release your grip Night clubs and back rooms Baggies in the bathrooms Nothing's changed but you Saying nothing's missing Thoughts are drifting away from you Led the beast to the cliff One more step and a long way down The morning sun fills the void Now you see there never was a point Over and over and over again Till you can no longer pretend you are sane Try but you couldn't get any more sure And the ending still will never change Over and over and over again Till you can no longer pretend you are sane Try but you couldn't get any more sure And the ending still will never change
