Hi everyone,
Here's my video on the Growth Mindset. I set out to make a video about how it can change your life... but my research led me elsewhere, and it ended up a bit more complicated. I guess that's the lesson - if something in psychology or science seems too good to be true... it probably is a little bit, and even though it may not be as entertaining, we need to be honest about that. I hope you enjoy, I put my resources below. Leave me a comment on what you think about the growth mindset.

Interesting research! Personally I think having a growth mindset has had very positive outcomes for me, especially in recovery and I see it working very well alongside other tools e.g goal setting. Coz ultimately a mindset is just a lens/perspective we have about a certain condition/situation, it's the action after that, that is most important. Might possibly be more impactful like you said depending on different cultural context. I see it being beneficial in the education system in Singapore especially where a lot of students are seen as "screwed for life" if they have bad grades at a young age and see poor grades as their identity, in this context I feel the growth mindset would be a good starting point to have because it then takes away that focus on the negative attributes and looks more at what they can do moving forward!
