Would have been a great show done in 15 minutes. But 45 of repeating the same scenario and watching the stabing 35 times just makes it boring and repetitive. 🤷‍♀️

Interesting but I do wish just a couple of minutes research on the internet had been carried out as to the pronunciation of Giovanni and especially Cesare.

I love how the Borgias are the name associated with gangster tactics, poisoning, intrigue, etc, when it’s only because they rose to great heights. When the truth is, the Borgias corruption was only part and parcel of an entire sect of society where this sort of behavior was the norm. I could argue the names of Sforza, Medici, Vitelli, Riario, d’Este, Della Rovere, Orsini, Collona, and Farnese were just as scandalous as any Borgia.

This is true. I think the Borgias have the reputation they do because most of what we know about them was written by their enemies and people who hated them.

Absolutely. We tend to think of the Medicis, for example, as bankers, and patrons of the arts, but they are the reason we have the term "Machiavellian" today!

Those documentaries - although i appreciate the effort - are really funny to me. The introduction says that it needs modern forensics to solve those murders, then they repeat some scarse facts all over the rest of the film to, at last, summarize that it´s impossible after all those centuries to solve those crimes.

If you are going to make these allegedly serious historical videos cut down on the hyperbole and get the facts correct. Too many of yours have obvious historical errors. Pope Alexander VI was not the head of the Holy Roman Empire that was the Holy Roman Emperor. Alexander VI was the Pope and head of the Roman Church.

Popes unofficially ruled the Holy Roman Empire through the Emperor. That's why it's called the *Holy* Roman Empire. The Emperor needed the backing of the Pope to sit on the throne. Without that backing, a prince couldn't become Emperor. Due to the distance between what is now Germany and the Naple states, it's not surprising the Pope didn't interfere with the ruling too much, but the fact that only he could control crown the Empire shows just how much power and influence he had. That's why the Pope is called "The Head" not "The Ruler." He is the True Power behind the Throne. The documentary isn't lying.

This channel doesn't "make these allegedly serious historic videos". They don't make any videos lol, they just find them and share them for us to watch. This mini series that youre crying about was made by UKTV in the UK, maybe you can email the producers and tell them how to do their jobs in making a proper television mini series, lol

This documentary is very clearly from 15 - 20 years ago. The channel doesn't make them, they reupload old ones made by TV production companies long ago.

So little is actually known about this family’s goings-on because of how much of it was behind multiple closed doors and very little evidence of the allegations have ever come to light, even less was documented, so the lion’s share of the Borgia Family history is still speculation, nothing more. Just sayin’

Ok the need of sensationalism (with Borgia even too easy), but I've rarely seen such a superficial historical recostruction. Full of errors which not even an Italian high school student would do, with so called experts talking about something they clearly don't know, with silly analysis of political and historical motivations ("jealous of his brother because he was allowed to have many mistresses"... Seriously?!😳), absolute lack of knowledge about how people and families in Reinassance could think and act... Really, you should deal with modern crime news, and don't mess with history, you don't have the competences for... 🙄🙄🙄
