Love this synth! Have it for two years now. Great sound, very warm and prettt unique sound. The chorus is great!

Thanks doc! I've had my e7 (black/red) for about two months now, paired with an Expressive E Osmose for that MPE magic. It really has got that "more analog than analog" vibe. Just the raw oscillators are beautiful to listen to, wide open. One of the best sounding osc sync implementations I've ever heard, rivaling the mighty OB-8. And, FOUR PART multi-timbral for deep sequencing and layering fun. Also, knob per function - zero menu dive design makes it a true performer, especially with the LFOs and delay on MIDI clock sync. I can get wild, gyrating, pulsating jams going instantly and morph into pure synth anthem glory effortlessly on the fly. 100% recommend!

Hey Claudio, a question: having put your "little dirty hands" on both, what are the pros and cons between Seaboard and Osmose? The first one is tickling my will to get back to keyboards... considering the good prices on the second hand market is something I'm really thinking of buying. I know as former piano player I'll have to learn quite from scratch, but my fear is that it could result in being more of a toy than a... please Roli don't kill me, real instrument?

Pretty average synth. I bet its overpriced as hell :D
@RayyMusik6 ай бұрын
It does have some non-average features. The main point, however, is the ladder filter. There‘s only one other poly synth with a ladder filter currently on the market: the Trigon-6. But for me the e7 sounds better, more vintage, a bit like the Memorymoog. Got mine for €1,700. If you call this ‘overpriced‘, what‘s the T6 then?

Sounds good but oberheim, sequential, moog and Groove sound better. More is more. Less is less.
@cfs5 ай бұрын
I don't fully agree. SOME of those brands have some synths that sound equal or better. The e7 easily competes in sonics with the Trigon6 and Take5, for example, and I'd get it over a Moog, too. The TEO-5 doesn't sound as good raw but has enough features to overcome that and at least equal the e7. Etc.

As a hobbyist and a huge fan, can I ask how you are connecting your synths, as in how is the Osmose playing the GS? Noob question I know but I like to know these things!
@RayyMusik6 ай бұрын
I guess in this case he used a direct connection from the MODX/Osmose to the e7. You can see the Midi cable on the back of the module.
