The Porsche GT4 e-Performance continued its world tour with a few thrilling laps around the legendary Laguna Seca Raceway in California. In front of 91,000 Porsche fans, the prototype for the all-electric future of customer motorsport flexed its muscles at Rennsport Reunion 7.

I think in racing vehicles electric doesn't sound so bad tbh. You hear more gearbox sound onboard anyway. If ev race cars had a gearbox it would change the tone and sound for the better. That would make the ev objectively worse however so that's obviously not going to happen.

Ofcourse we are going to miss the sound off combustion engines but at least Porsches try’s to make them as good and exciting as possible and we need to do something about the climate and sadly we need to sacrifice some great stuff for it I am still hoping that Porsche’s synthetic fuel will get used by everyone later on but that is probably not going to happen sadly

Porsche must focus on e fuel and flat 6 engines!! The brand has power towards European ecologists governments, as BMW did recently by winning a case to pursue the building of thermal engines after 2030! Not a single two seaters should be electric as those vehicles are build for driving pleasure and are in most cases not driven more than 10 000km per year…

It laps Monaco in 1:40 if that counts? Same as the current ice gt3rs cup car's do. Despite weighing over 500# more. 👍🏻 They also did a funny stunt filling up the ice car with 2.5 gallons of fuel and running it against the cayman gt4e performance. Ice ran out of fuel in under 5mins, cayman gt4e performance on the same amount of energy can do 30-40 mins at 600+hp race pace. 😁
