I worked in hospitals for a few years, and when they say "indefinite" that basically is them saying you will be in here for life and they dont have much hope they will get better. I personally think that being admitted to a hospital "indefinitely" is worse than a prison sentence just based on not knowing how long you will he held for. It actually caused a lot of patients to get worse and one of the reasons i left.

Muta also said the reason was that he showed no remorse, which isn't why he's being held. It had very little to do with the decision in the end. The reason was that he legitimately can't function in society. And it's also not the autism alone, it's the mental issues of which the autism is just a part. Though it should be obvious this is what's going on. So many people take things on face value, it's important to be precise when reporting. Maybe I'm being needlessly pedantic, but Muta could've been a bit more precise. Some eople will get the wrong idea every time given the chance.

As an autistic person, him saying he's gonna do it again and showing no remorse is simply the bluntness and brutal honesty that comes with autism. Why would he lie about his feelings and thoughts? For autistic folks, we tell it how it is. We don't sugarcoat. Now I'm not saying autistic people are incapable of lying in fact I had an issue with lying growing up, but when it comes to our own personal thoughts feelings emotions etc you're gonna get the honest answer. For example, growing up I never understood why people who weren't fine when asked, would tell people "I'm fine" even though they aren't. I don't get that. If I'm not doing okay or fine I will say so. I've had bad depression days at work where a customer will ask how I'm doing and I'll just say "I'm depressed today" I don't think about her reaction to that answer. She asked a question, my first instinct is to answer honestly. Would not be surprised if this fellow autistic guy also thought that way

Yeah surely to a company like Rockstar 5-10 mill is just a cheap night out at the pub or something. I can't be bothered looking up stats but they'll make all that back within like a week of GTA IV's launch and whatever GTA online is making these days, they'll be fine.
@Kings_Crossing Жыл бұрын
@@unexplained_entity7514 You can't use reasoning like that. That's like saying well the victim of the stabbing only got a small cut that will heal in a week so, they'll be fine we wont prosecute. Even if the 5 mill is an arbitrary number it could be more or less in damages. if like 80k people decided to not buy the game at 60$ because they thought the leaks looked like a shitty game that would be 5 million in damages, plus more with future DLC and whatever.. And the person doing the thing should face consequences regardless.

@@Kings_Crossing The problem with your point, as far as I can tell, is that assault and leaks are two completely different things. One is the deliberate harm of another person, and the other is only harmful to a megacorp. Who cares if it gets leaked? GTA may be a fun franchise, but a megacorp's IP is never more valuable than a living, breathing person. ... And on such note, defending large corporations whenever they fail at basic cybersecurity, among other things, is why society is so decrepit as it is.

Bullshit, they will be forced to work for the government. I had a friend who hacked the government back when everyone began getting computers in their homes. I remember him showing up to my house with printouts of a top secret jet that had some very interesting features. He also had some other info that I refused to look at as I had this sinking feeling that something bad was about to happen. One month later, the family takes a trip to the Grand Canyon, and his families car goes off a cliff where he was the only victim. Even his elderly grandmother was able to get out of the back seat. Now that's fine, we thought they killed him, but at his funeral, his sister, who was very close to him, didn't shed a single tear. One month after that, the family was transferred to another state. So, I believe he was recruited. He now works for them.

no no, a psyche ward IS prison. If you've ever been its about the same conditions. I slept for 3 days on a 4 inch thick "mattress" on the floor with nothing but a sheet and no pillow, couldn't shave, couldnt see the sun, nothing. Plus the doctors and staff treat you literally like you're a rabid animal. I don't even think in my 3 days they let me get a shower or gave me a change of clothes. Was in for attempted self-die and all it made me want to do was try again. Dude's in prison. He probably does need to be there tho, hopefully the one he goes to is actually oriented toward helping and not hurting.
@Farencio Жыл бұрын
Yeah, and sometimes they keep you drugged with powerful medication to better control you. The first time I was institutionalised they gave an antipsychotic that made me stiff and expressionless. I could cry but my face wouldn't move. The second time they tied me to a bed 1 week alone in front of a camera. With a bucket to my side to pee and shit. If you misbehave you could get beaten and injected with stuff. Staff can be brutal, sometimes there's nice people. The good part for this dude is that he is 18 and normally at that age you don't get years and years because at later stages of life untreated mental illnesses are more apparent and difficult to control. The problem is that psywards are, most of the time, extremely neglectful and a lot of the time you don't get there treatment you need.
