yea there’s nothing like san andreas and vice city, everything after has been meh. I just finished the story mode on gta v and it was ok. The characters were great and dialogue but it was a bit short and i didn’t get to do many robberies and heists etc. Thats the whole point of gta, living out the life you can’t actually live.

12:30 Although most of these screenshots are fake, I believe there is a reason such leaks are mostly badly taken photos instead of Win+PrtSc. Most of the real in-game leaks are leaked by employees at those companies and they can be fired and sued for those leaks. Most of these companies have ways to monitor their employees' activities on their work computers plus there are system logs, so Win+PrtSc or any other way to take screenshots is no no. Don't forget some of these companies (especially Rockstar) take leaks too seriously they don't allow their testers to even have their phones with them at work, etc. Quickly taking a photo by your phone is much safer than Win+PrtSc.

I feel like with the phones of the past 5 or so years, it would take more effort to make a picture come out that blurry when the subject is a backlit screen and two feet away than to quickly snag some clear pictures. From 2010-2014, I can understand some blurry, hastily taken pics, but phones from the last few years are kind of selling their ability to be able to focus pretty quickly and do much better in places that are usually darker than a game studio office. Messing around with a Galaxy 9, I have to basically never stop moving the camera to get a screen to look blurry in a fairly dimly lit room.

I remember the ''game leak' that kept getting me wasn't GTA games but Super Mario RPG 2, I'd go home hoping there was any kind of announcement of SMRPG2. There'd be fake screenshot everywhere and 'secret Yoshi/Luigi is actually in the game?' fake videos all about. To this day, Nintendo hasn't teamed up with Square to create an official sequel to a game that is so beloved that you can only usually find the game at $100 in yard sales and whatnot. (Paper Mario is not a true sequel).

I'm happy watchdogs 2 got a little shoutout. It's one of my favorite games just because of how lost you can get in the world. It's criminally underrated because the first watchdogs was a train wreck, but ubi listened to its audience and sorted itself out. I really recommend you play it if you just want to chill out, explore San Francisco and feel like a badass hacker/mass murderer. Driving around the city late at night, right after it rained, with music on the radio is something special in that game.

I get that a lot of people want the next GTA game to make like modern "HD" versions of cities they did in the past. But I really wish they would do some new places. A good example is New Orleans, LA, because that's a location that I feel like I could just spend hundreds of hours exploring, I got a say, I'm pretty bored of Los Santos, and its Urban Sprawl, but New Orleans has such a variety of areas, from historic, to modern, to everything in-between, dense downtown, and then urban areas like the garden district. Honestly it wouldn't be a bad idea in my book, I can see a really interesting story taking place there.

The horrible thing is there could be a genuine GTA 6 leak out there and we wouldn't know. There was a massive leak for RDR2 a couple years before it was announced and even though everyone called bullshit it was later confirmed when the game came out. The leak had an earlier version of the map, down to correct landmarks and location names, and a plot synopsis incredibly similar to what we got. The map leak in particular was even more legit considering Saint Denis was actually called New Bordeaux on the map. The city's original name before Mafia 3 used the name for it's city, resulting in it needing to be changed. We obviously haven't got anything the scale of this leak (the pictures of the map weren't blurry camera shots) but it's possible legit info is out there and we just don't know.

While Rockstar is likely bringing Vice City to the HD Universe for GTA 6, I'd love to see them create an entirely new setting in a future game (Personally I think Washington DC could be an interesting setting - _Grand Theft Auto: Capitol City Stories_ would be the perfect title!)

I'd like a new setting sometime in the future but VC really does need some justice. It is my favorite of them all. I'd like one set in Carcer City but the tone for that city needs to be right. I feel GTA3 got that tone right. LC felt like a shit hole, fuck it even said on the back of the box "The Worst City in America" I'd like them to nail Carcer with the enviromental settings of GTA3 and Manhunt 1.

In my humble opinion I think they should do a GTA San Andreas type map where they have multiple cities. The one I'd want to see most would be D.C., New Orleans, and Vice City all in one map. While D.C. seems out of place, I think they can blend it into the deep south pretty well, and I'd love to see their take on the Smithsonian museums

If GTA 6's mission design is still "Follow the yellow dot and if you take one wrong turn you're losing progress and hitting a loading screen." It's going to have bad outdated game design. They might as well not let the player have control of the character at all during the missions if all you're only allowed to do is precisely what the user interface tells you to do. I don't care how pretty the visuals are, how rich the world building is, or how great the writing and acting is. Make the mission gameplay as free and open as the game is out of mission and I'll buy it, but I will never follow the little yellow dot ever again.

GTA V was linear but it was never boring. Cause there was always some crazy action movie shit happening. It was a rollercoaster. And the driving and shooting gameplay was really fun. The dialog and immersive world and storyline were the cherry on top. I agree that RDR2 was boring. But it’s not so much because of linearity but because you did the exact same thing over and over again. And it was made even more boring by being slow and “serious”
