I bought a 750 Ti 2nd hand for $40 NZD (~$20 USD), dropped it into my grandmas 12 year old OEM with a 3rd gen i5 and it ran BO2 Zombies at a consistent 300 FPS at 1080p, it's so impressive to see old, cheap GPU's like this one still provide a more than playable experience.

I had someone get frustrated with one, buy a GTX 1070 and handed it to me to "Get it out of his sight!" Which was nice. Got a nice static bag with it too! It's an EVGA with 2GB and a good cooler so it OCs a bit.

I also had 750 Ti until 2021 and then switched to gtx 1660 super. The difference were huge and I am still happy with that. It's still enough to play with medium-high settings at 1080p in new games if you are not too picky about it.

It really is a shame that new drivers won't be supported. But that's where the 3rd party moding community joins in to further make the latest drivers for this card and actually hopefully, better too :p

This card is actually legendary just like the Ti version of it. I had the 2 GB version os this GPU and it was amazing for everyting I wanted to play, Call of Duty, Battlefield and some heavier games too. I was so happy with that card for a long time.

my first pc had an unknown nvdia graphics card and then it got burnt so i kept using my pentium processor to play all sorts of games at probably 34p or something stupid like that and i'm talking like far cry 2 sorta games, the one after is 4gb ram and gt 610 and i had a blast with gta and some decent optimized games and i pushed the optimization on games soooo hard that i learned how to edit the graphics settings that were hidden through the files of the games, and after many years of fun and suffering with the new games coming out that i craved of playing, came my ryzen 3 3200G to the clutch and oh my it was an absolute blast and now i have gtx 1660 super, i understand the pain of low end pc gamers and i was there for probably 10 or close to 10 years i know it, so i respect anyone who can enjoy games with low end pcs a lot, i hope that you one day get to buy your own pc that isn't low end and finally experience that feeling of downloading every game without looking up the specifications of it, sorry if i took a lot of your time and thanks for reading my rambles, much love everyone stay safe.

I remember when i used to own gtx 1050 2gb laptop, i often exceed vram limit in games and i dont think i ever encounter stuttering because of the vram, i own that laptop until like early 2021. I think most games before 2020 dont immediately stuttering just by exceeding the vram a little bit

I think this is the strongest 1 GB GPU other than maybe the few GTX 650 TI BOOSTs that were 1 GB? It's always nice seeing what older weaker GPUs can do in these games. If one doesn't care about the latest stuff, you don't need to spend $250+ on a new GPU when a $30-$40 GPU can more than suffice depending on circumstance. Find the game you want to play, do your research, find used options and with a bit of patience and compromise, you can potentially save, without exaggeration, hundreds of dollars.

Even at its lowest in-game settings, GTA5 still looks great, as good or better than GTA4 at its best. (of course, once you start fiddling with the .ini files, all bets are off as to how gross you can make it look :P)

I would love to see how the 750 1GB could handle other games! My brother currently got a Zotac model currently paired with a Ryzen 3 1200 with 16GB (2x8GB) 3000MHz RAM and after I replace the PSU (OEM 240W) to something than can handle my GTX 1070 then I plan on pairing the 750 with something like a i5-2400 or something similar for a PC flip after I upgrade from the 1070 and hand it down.

900p is the PS4 stock res. It has res scaling though so it will drop as low as 720p on the PS4. I was able to get the same experience on an FX 8350 console killer with an HD 7850 2GB without the drops to 720p. When I replaced the HD 7850 with an RX 480 8GB it was 1080p High, everything turned on. 60fps and higher. Great machine for what it was built for.

As per gaming CPUs. For entry level, indie, emulation and older titles no lower than an an i7 4770/4790. I only break this rule for younger kids that want to play Minecraft, Roblox and the like. Then you can use a Haswell i5. But NEVER below Haswell at this point. Everything pre Haswell has no support for AVX-2 which many new games use. On the AMD side, For entry level, Zen 2 as this is the first AMD implementation of AVX 2 at full speed(Zen and Zen+ use a double 128 bit mode that works but is very slow), 4 cores 8 threads minimum. 3100, 3300x and higher. Nothing slower or with less cores/threads. Again, if it is a little kid looking to play Minecraft, Roblox or the like cheap, I can recommend r5 2600/X, R5 1600/x R5 1300 r5 1500x. Even the R3 1200 will work for a cheap MC/Roblox machine. But those are the baselines I go by. Interesting that those Intel chips can boogie enough to play 1080p 60 with the right GPU, enough memory and an SSD.

ryzen 5 5600g has integrated graphics that is equivalent to GTX 750 Ti. which is a bit more power than the gtx 750. i recommend this cpu to budget gamers that can use it without spending more on weak gpu and cpu. u can invest more on a more powerful gpu in the future
