Oh Guild, such memories. I remember amassing an "army" of well equipped guards and we'd go about murdering rival dynasty members whenever went out of town and away from the guards. I had strategically placed members of my dynasty on the judicial side of politics, so I'd end up voting not guilty for blatant murders and just clog up with court calendar with various offenses. There came a time that there were so many cases filed against me, I was appearing in court every season and a good number of cases got thrown out because there were so many of them and the complainants started dying out, naturally or not. My main character would have an escort of at least 10 guards for "protection".

The first thing you wanna do in Guild 3 is find the best wife possible otherwise the longer you wait the more of the "good" wives the ai gets and you are stuck with bad ones after that.

Not in the 1400s, my friend! in the medieval times it was common for serfs and Noble alike to marry the boys away as soon as they come of age. and in many regions of europe that was their 15th names day for boys and for girls it was the dreadful day they bled for the first time, so around 13 years. So 19 without wife and first child... for a man it could be excused as not finding a worthy girl yet but for a girl at 19 it would be a social catastrophe. The poor girl would be desperate by now to find a decent man herself, because at that point parents will often trade her off to brothels or any unmarried traveller that passes through the village. Unbelievable for nowadays people to think that women were not more than cattle in that age.

I can't get over the visuals in this game. Looks like it was made 20 years ago. and the buildings are so spaced out, especially the double story ones. The reason they were double story in real life was lack of space in the dense cities. Also the layout is so square, compared with the organic sprawl of real medieval cities. Modern games actually depict this really well now, so I don't understand what this game is doing, like it's stuck in a different decade of game design.

It was important back then to prevent people outside of certain classes to wear certain types of clothes. A peasant couldn't dress like a lord, let alone own clothes like that.

It's great to see people showing and playing new games, but why do you all seem to play on the hardest levels, this only puts potential players off. If you played it on the more reasonable levels where a beginner would start it would be more beneficial for those of us who would be interested in the game. Based on this video, I don't think I'll bother with this game.
