Lol yeah, IDK if I’d have the heart, or lack there of, to subject my mom to that kind of environment… 😂 My mom did stand in line for me (I didn’t ask her to) in front of a Best Buy on an early and frigid Black Friday morning to try and get me an XBOX 360 during XMAS 2005. The 360 was really rare initially after release due to such a high failure rate, that would later lead to the red ring of death issues for the early 360 console generation. There were something like 44 of them available and she was #57. Although she didn’t get one that day, a Best Buy employee that she spoke to on that Black Friday, ended up calling her a week later and said they had two that were reserved that the reservations were canceled for. She was at work when she got the call, dropped everything, and drove to that BestBuy immediately. The reason I initially knew about any of this was because she had just finished hiding the XBOX 360 after buying it when I came home from school and she was supposed to be at work. That was one of the Best Christmases of my life. I was only like 10 at the time but, I remember being just so thankful and appreciative that my mom would go through all that she did, just to get me a gift. I remember balling my eyes out just giving her the biggest hugs at every chance that I could that XMAS morning after she, sorry… I mean Santa, gave me that gift.
