Browning 525. I think for anyone who's just starting out it's the perfect all rounder. Pick one up for £750 Shoot it for 5 years Sell it for £750 👍. What's not to love

Favourite has to be the Yildiz, a new gun with adjustable comb, steel proof and extended chokes for under £1000.

I thought the Miroku 3800, yes it’s older but offers good value and had proven longevity.

I shoot my new Browning Silver very well , but I do miss my old Browning B-80. The semi hump receiver won me over after shooting the B-80 for 45 yrs. Both guns are in 12 gauge. I'm now looking at the Browning Silver in 20 gauge for upland game, Ruffed Grouse and the 20 gauge I believe is a perfect match. Love your show and sometimes watch ones I've seen before. Great info and learning about British Quality is beautiful so there is a huge difference with shotgun builds. Can you come to Canada to do some reviews. Christian Bird , Elliot Lake Ontario Canada

Yildiz for me please. Being only a year into having a shotgun certificate, I like the peace of mind of a brand new gun, warranty and all the features that comes with it

I had £1000 to spend on my first gun. Looked at a yildiz, a few brownings, mirokus and atas. Bought the miroku 3800. No regrets at all. Fantastic gun that's nearly as old as me.

In this episode its got to be the miroku, classic gun. For the series it's Ryan's M3, we need to see more of that 😍

For the ticket I’ve just started shooting clays at 70+ years ! And shoot at Purbeck so it was like looking in my back garden! Best gun of the day has to be the Browning (I shoot a 325😂) kind regards from deepest Dorset 👍
@MR12GAUGE Жыл бұрын
Miroku 3800 all day in that test, the yildiz is a decent gun no doubt, but for me it's not just pulling the trigger, it's cleaning it, pride of ownership, i'm smiling everytime that 3800 comes out a slip

I would have to say the Miroku. Can’t wait for the Shooting Show. See you there!

It’s got to be that Mossberg 940 Pro Semi Auto Not the most elegant by any means and probably wouldn’t shoot a semi auto but it was just so robust and definitely gets the job done. Liked the full corrosion protection. Loved this series and would love to see you guys at the shooting show!
@charlieowen1967 Жыл бұрын
For many years, I have used a Yildiz 28 bore, for both game and clay, it was absolutely amazing and only £450. However, my favourite from this video is the Miroku 3800 because it's robust and sleek with the nice wood on the stock. Shoots well also.

Here in the USA, porting is extremely popular, and for 1 reason. Our cartridges are so bad that we'll do anything to reduce felt recoil by even the slightest amount! Wish we could get Hull here
@freedomman06 Жыл бұрын
Yildiz wins, such an incredible amount of gun for the money, and features you would ordinarily have to pay many times more for! And perhaps most importantly of all, being steel ready, the yildiz is future proof for the lead ban apocalypse! Nice one lads enjoyed this.
@davidelmer1423 Жыл бұрын
yildiz for the win all day. It's a brand new gun with a 5 year warranty. By far the wisest choice and very versatile with the adjustable comb. No brainer versus the other 2.
@davidward2231 Жыл бұрын
My favourite would be the Browning Maxus 2 apart from the camo finish! Never owned a semi auto by I’m tempted by that one and it would sit well in the cabinet next to my 725. See you at the Show.

Favourite from this video obviously the French side by side with a scope on because it did what shooting should do and instantly put a smile on your faces. I bought a browning gti ultra for £750 that and absolutely love it.

Yildiz for me - steel proofed, no hidden history and a 5yr warranty is a no brainier. Great video, first of this series I’ve watched, will go back and watch the others now. Especially enjoyed the look through someone else’s collection - it would be interesting to see how I justified some of mine in the same way..!

@jimmarcham6271 Жыл бұрын
Ooooh, tricky ! Normally I'd have to go with the 525 - but the 'go-faster' bits just put me off. The Yildiz is the sensible choice and superb value. However, I'm a sucker for traditional quality and the Miroku has it in spades - the 3800 gets my vote. Love to try the F3 ! Glad I won't be trying that French thing .... 🧐

I borrowed a blaser f3 and shot 24/25 on skeet and it suprised me with low recoil, not sure if its worth $13,500au though. Also tried a caesar invictus and it was heavier on recoil. Now i need to get my hands on a Dt11 and k80 before making a decision.

If they can, they should try to hit clays with a gamo viper express. A better air gun for possibly hitting clays than the last one they tried.

Ya'll need to do a video on the Browning A5 sweet 16. My Grandfather was born in 1900 he was a quail and pheasant hunter his whole life. He introduced me to shotgun hunting for quail and dove. When I was a young lad I lost him. he gave me His 1929 Belgian A5 sweet 16. I rarely shoot it because unlike my grand da i love bolt action rifles and Deer and Elk hunting more than birds. But as of late i have gotten into Trap shooting. I found your channel and have watched a lot and have purchased a few over under and single shot. but none feel as good as my Grand Da's sweet sixteen

Yildiz by far. At least in the U.S. they are very under rated. Most people having never heard of them. For the money it's the best (new). Personally a citori/superposed fan I'd go that route first but my beater 28ga is a yildiz and it's the 2nd most used gun. 2nd only to my Guerini.

That Browning 525 has to be the best value wimmer. I agree about the F3 , it's just different. My one is so old it can't even take barrel weights , but it was extremely cheap for a F3.

Yildiz for me I am afraid, not necessarily without regret but looking to the future I think knowing that you can stick any steel load through it makes it an easy choice. I do like standard 525s but not being a gunsmith I really wouldn't want to be buying potential problems. Doesn't mean that I won't trawl Holts (and the other auctioneers) for bargain 525s.

@karvast5726 Жыл бұрын
I had one of these in hand and it feels cheap,went with a used miroku instead,for clays i want something rock solid,not a pot metal cast action
@markwierzbicki5307 Жыл бұрын
@@karvast5726 cant argue that it is cheap, ( brand new £900 it’s little brother £600) but as a brand new gun with 5 years warranty you could buy two and still be quids in. I agree, if you have £3k or £5k go for a brand new bigger name. It’s your money spend it where you like and what makes you feel good. Both will break clays and kill game!

It’s got to be the miroku 3800, your getting a quality well made gun that just works and feels nice. The Yildiz ticks all the boxes but it’s still a Yildiz perfect if you want a gun with warranty and all the bells and whistles, but probably not a keeper. The browning 525 is a classic, but your 525 was just plain ugly!!
