When I was a new player, I had no idea there was more than one ‘sheet’ of the reward book that you could select. I thought you MUST finish them before you move on. Good way to get cosmetics but not good for the new player resource gathering 😂

Until I started watching Streamers like yourself I had no idea about things like Row values (and even more recently discovered - the cards played history).

I really wanted to play the game, but I couldn't get used to it. It was just too complicated for newer players, I don't know what deck I should play, how I can improve my Deck Building, what actual Metadecks are, how I can get new cards to be competitive at all, and most importantly: The UI in the "main menu", don't know how to call it, it was so overwhelming for Beginners that I deinstalled Gwent. Do you have a video also about the main menu? I think more ingame tutorials and more information would help to get newer player used to it, since I think it is really a great game, but too complicated to jump right into.

I hope so too! Gwent has a learning curve for sure and it's so resource generous players can pick up good cards quick which makes the curve constant. Keep at it and let us know how you get on!

@@LionHartCards So I played a few more rounds with that from this video in mind and got my few first wins :D I think whens it comes to deck building i am very unsure how to build a good deck with the few cards I have right now. But I think i am slowly getting the hang of it.

I think there needs to be more description of every effect some cards do. Besides bleeding like you mentioned. Still looking for a video that covers all and also how to use each effect

Same here, the details and the wording makes this game impossibly confusing, I had a card with one health and 2 shield tbh at said it would summon a new card if it got damaged.. it got hit with one bleed (which I could of boosted the card to heal it but I wanted it to be damaged) then it ticked 1 damage and just died??? Does the bleed not count as actual damage or does the cards armor need to be damaged without our right killing it? Have no clue lol

@@Monkeyman-qt1sm bro. 😂 I know how you feel. Want to love this game so much. But all this description are hard. I play on phone. So usually what i do is highlight and press hold the card and on side it tells you what the effect does. But even like that I'm confused. 😆. I been focusing on monster decks. Seems like no one plays monsters. I been using vampire deck. So yes. When you have bleeding it doesn't matter what shield you have it will kill the health of card. Read the description of enemy card as well. So you can focus on the one that needs to go. I gave up on it for 3 days started with Runeterra and that one is more difficult. 😆

@@VAL3NTIN3 it’s crazy to me how confusing it is lol, I want to love it too but part of me feels like it might not be for me😂 I’m getting my ass kicked against the training bot and I even knew it was going to damage me through the armor but the card( it’s the spear troll guy that’s “asleep” and it says in 3 turns or when he takes damage he will go to the graveyard and his awake version will be summoned, so I wasn’t going to waste a boost on him since he was about to go to graveyard I let the bleed tick and he just disappeared 🤣

@@Monkeyman-qt1sm 😂😂 bro. I hope we get the hang of it soon. One thing I noticed is that not alot of people upload videos of Gwent like is not that popular or people don't care. But you go look for any guide for Runeterra and you get alot of people. I even did the favor of subbing to everyone that uploads Gwent gameplay. And let me tell you is not alot. 😆 What deck are you focusing on? I recommend also to buy some barrels for that faction you focusing on. It cost gold. Just doing daily quest even though most of them require a win. 😂. I'm trying to complete my monster deck. So far. I'm at 90 cards. And trust me adding new cards to the faction you going to focus helps.

I filmed a lot more of them but wasn't sure what the demand would look like with the Gwentfinity announcement at the start of the year. So instead I am remaking them all as "Starting Gwent in Gwentfinity" advice videos!

Is northern realms a good beginner's deck cause I tried others and I just find this deck awesone here I can boost boost also engines and the leader ability with extra lyrian scytheman makes my "last say" very rude to my opponent lol

I think Northern Realms is the starter deck i'd recommend the most but we're starting the Monsters one today too as it has a lot of points but needs a few bits of help! Glad you're enjoying the list!

Hope you do starter deck for other factions, although Gwent support will end in 2024 does it still makes sense to go F2P ?

I would love to see information on those of us who started playing when first released on console and left the game for a long time but ported their account to PC when the console edition bit the dust. I played for 2 years and then left the game for almost 2 years. Coming back now, there are so many changes. I would swear I used to own cards that are not there anymore. I have like 7k ore and know I didn’t have that when I left. What keg is the best to buy to start making up for time? Some of the very new player strategies I feel are useless when you’ve spread yourself thin all over the reward book years ago. Is it best to just start at the very beginning with a new account?

Team Elder Blood or Team Leviathan Gaming both create regular meta reports. If you're a brand new player i'd actively encourage you not to just build a "tier 1" meta deck early and race up levels with it as they inevitably get nerfed or fall out of favour and you will find yourself in an inflated position not understanding as much about the game as you need, lose constantly and get bored of the game! Has happened to a lot of people I know who tried that path. Play the new starter decks and build on 2 or 3 of them then build into "meta" lists or lists from YT videos is probably a better way to go!

Dude just started playing like 3-4 days or so ago, I've should have watched videos before I started playing Gwent on my phone. I've made so many mistakes already, and am pretty confident I don't have the cards to create a viable deck. I keep losing consistently. Struggle very hard for a win. Or I'm just not good. I'm trying to use the monster faction, hasn't been really working out, then tried nilfgard, also not working for me. So frustrated bro.

I won't lie, you're probably better off without it as it's not actually helpful even in the short term. It isn't replayable without starting a new account though I'm afraid. You could do that easily enough but genuinely, watch this and my other new starter videos and you'll be better off for it 😂

You quite literally may as well have been speaking Greek. Three minutes in and I have 100% no idea what you're talking about. You're speaking to experienced players, but don't realize it. You're so advanced in your Gwent experience you've forgotten what "beginner" means with regard to it. Here's a hint: what do the numbers on the cards mean? Why are certain cards only allowed on certain rows? What happens when you finish placing your cards and the game "plays through" (and we all instantly lose with no clue as to why)?
