Best D&D play through on the internet. Just the right amount of RP, no stupid games of repeat the DM but get it horribly wrong. real risk , real excitement, no cringe displays of I need to be the hero or have this stupid emotional out gush. Just real people playing an actual game. So so so good.

Verisimilitude is great so long as it makes play more engaging, but as soon as it becomes a distraction from the game, I am happy to chuck it without a second thought!

This episode felt very reminiscent of the first time the party was in these halls. Hiding from the wave of scary baboons. There's just too damn many of them, they need some poison or traps or something to take them out. -Or 4 heavy spearmen in a doorway.

From the OSE website: “Mentoring: The character may consult an arcane guild or mentor to learn new spells. This process takes about a week of game time. The spells a character learns in this way are determined by the referee, who may decide to let the player choose.”

For the sake of long term play, it might be better to have it take an hour per level of spell. That way it’s not a drag if the one mage dies in the party. (Just an idea)

Oh, everytime I comment I forget to say this. When a player isn’t present you guys always say “they are dead to us”. I had been saying that very often during my still running three year campaign, one of our players would often miss three or four sessions just due to a busy life. I said that one session, about three weeks later we received news that our dear friend has passed away :( Sorta hits hard everytime you guys say it.

Guys. Guuuuys. This was so good but I'm officially stressed out right now! I hope that Darius has both Van Damme legs *and* buns of steel to make it those 8 rounds in the power perch stance. It's very much in mind, we've just been sooooo far removed from the types of targets that the spirit likes to mess with, that there's been no one that really needs a little good-natured prankery. Though we are now in a more 'civilized' area...and the Forum isn't far away now...
