I think the Thoth situation was very well done and it gave the mask this enormous narrative potential that I think is very exciting. Also, for how creepy mother is, guaranteeing that political relationship was quite the feat and definitely important for your relationship with the beastmen and the goblins. It was a real nice session guys!

Don't forget about Lighta/Versanya! Avaricios you literally raised her from the dead following Lysseon! Is your bond so weak with your god? Plus I think avaricios is more of a party type character, thoth doesn't seem the be the guy for you. Mort however is a much more well put together character, and more calculating. It think that vibes well with Thoth. Though that's probably some of Ted's influence as a player as well. Given that Ted/Mort is also the bookeeper I think it goes well with Thoth. I really want to see Versanya in action though! I'd love to have a cult of Lysseon and Thoth align themselves and push the Settites out.

Maybe Thoth didn’t do anything because he was so flabbergasted at Avaricios’s insolent audacity, sort of like that recent video of a guy who was late to court, driving and talking to the judge through a video call, while his driver’s license was suspended. The judge was speechless for a few moments. The judge to the guy’s lawyer: “Why would he do that?”

Interesting discussion about pantheons. I would have to ask Matt, what would it take for Avaricios to make the plunge to Thoth? (If there even is a turning point) Jon, Job well done as a DM. The whole session was great with choices and character development. (I was going to put this on the main video, but forgot to comment. Sorry)
@mattavaricios46794 күн бұрын
What would it take? Quite a lot, I think. To abandon a lifelong devotion? To leave a god he loves, and who has performed literal miracles at Av's request? And Lysseon's parties are much, much better. I think it would take a real crisis of belief--a fundamental betrayal to get him to abandon the power that got him this far.

So much good stuff in this one, which isn't surprising given the session: 1. I'm curious if the carpets work when they are rolled up, or if they have to be laid out. Seems like it could throw extra wrinkles in heist shenanigans. 2. I'm with David on coin denominations, I like just using "coin". However, the troll that I try to keep buried deep inside myself likes the idea of running an adventure in the tomb of a copper-lord. All hordes found within are copper (or whatever small denomination), forcing characters to deal with the weight versus risk puzzle. 3. I'm not sure if it was older editions, or if I've just read about the houserule several times, but there is that table people use to roll on for when they get to the end of the session and have to return to town (per the playstyle). Said table basically tells you how much of your collected loot actually made it out of the dungeon, or what was lost on the way trying to escape back to town. I like that it gives stakes to delving deeper, while not making players have to manage their time to make the return trip (unless they are into that sort of thing). 4. Referencing Souls is another dopamine hit to my already saturated brain, I love it.
