In which I go through the first few floors of the amazing megadungeon by Richard Barton. It's incredible! And expensive...if you're not going to run it, perhaps wait for a sale. But...if you can get it, you definitely should!
Here's where you can find it bundled:

Here's the PDF:

Music primarily from the best video game CT, but additional songs from SoM, SKoAL, SMRPG, FFIX, and SM64.

I've been watching 3d6 down the line, 2 years and still going! Vul is pronounced like "cool" but with the V. 😅

Youre so spot on about the borderline painful temptation to avoid spoiling the reveals and theorizing that happens in AV upon encountering the weird. Let them speculate and be wrong, is my advice!

This is my absolute favorite module for any ttrpg, planning on running it in a couple months. I'm preparing it for use in VTT by adding walls, doors, and linking all the levels together via a stairs module in foundryvtt. Its a lot of work but damn will it be worth it. The game will be in person though, I just want to the maps to be in vtt so that everything is easier to visualize and access as a GM

cool if you like making Vtt maps these big mega Dungeons are such fun projects. I made a huge Vtt mapset for Barrow Maze, both a Topside and full dungeon layer with all the individual barrows done as well...

Google "Arden Vul map pack for Foundry VTT", maybe it will suit your needs.

Are you willing to share this? I was planning on making my own (less ambitious) version but have never used foundry before. It would be hugely helpful to have a starting point.

@@jeff1710ive finished the walls of all the maps. Now im doing the stairways linking each level (which requires the stairways module) I can post it somewhere when im done yeah since the maps are free anyway

Thank you for this! It was big fun listening to both parts and hear your thoughts and musings about AV. I completely agree about hyperlinkling the manuscript, it would be immensely helpful. I just asked Rick and Joe Browning about it, and perhaps there might be a way of realizing it (we might end up drawing straws to see who does it, because, man, that'll be a task!). I'm much looking forward to your next installment!

According to Joe Browning, his fear is that the sheer size to which the pdf will grow because of the many hyperlinks (it is already huge) might break it. Perhaps there is way to prevent this, but we're all no experts.

That makes a lot of sense. Maybe just a hyperlinked map, as opposed to hyperlinking the entire document or something! But either way, it is by no means a dealbreaker!

Thanks for doing a part two! I appreciate the more in depth look at the dungeon. I know the adventure is made for old school D&D, so I was wondering if you plan on doing a Shadowdark conversion like you did with Curse of Strahd?

We'll have to see! Converting to Shadowdark would be a fair bit of work...
