The Hanford Site, WA

Do you know anout the Hanford Nuclear site? This region was established in the early 1940s in Eastern Washington as a location to develop weapons grade nuclear material for the atomic bombs used in World War II. I lived in West Richland for two years and got really fond of bottled water after I tried to drink the tap water after moving there, not knowing what I know now. Even though had an awesome filtration system, there was something seriously off about the water. I often thought of seeing if I could get the tap water for the apartment we lived in tested, but it was also a horrifying thought. I moved out of the area and won't ever live there again.
