Julien Blanc (AKA Julien Himself) reveals how to let go and how to be happy! In this Julien Blanc manifesto / JulienHimself manifesto, discover the art of letting go and the secret to happiness!
===================================
"THE HAPPINESS MANIFESTO" By Julien Blanc
► WHAT ARE WE ALL SEEKING?
- Happiness (With a capital “H”)
► WHAT IS HAPPINESS?
- Happiness is a state, NOT an emotion
- Feeling “happy” is a temporary escape or relief from pain
- Happiness is a continuous state
- It doesn’t depend on anything
► WHY ARE WE SEEKING IT?
- Happiness is our very basic nature
► WHY HAVEN’T WE FOUND IT?
- We try to seek what we already have
- We keep looking for it in all the wrong places
- Coming from a place of scarcity VS coming from a place of abundance
► HOW TO BE HAPPY
- We must remember and reconnect to what we are
- By letting go of all obstructions and limitations
► HOW TO MAKE THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND CONSCIOUS
- Stop running away from it and welcome it
- Let go of any resistance
- Practice & time
► HOW TO LET GO
- Be aware of what you want to let go of
- Allow yourself to experience it fully
- Let it come up and let it out

If you make a million dollars or you finally get that hot girl and you become happy for that moment, it's not because that event made you happy. It's because when you reach that goal or achievement you GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSSION TO BE HAPPY. If you want, you can be happy as soon as you wake up, happy to have another day in life. That will lead you to a better life

Pr0t3gy15 some of your aspects are true , but most peoples social circles consist of pure fictional friends. If you are not taking care of your relationships with your friends why do wonder why your game with women sucks? cuz its coming from the same place. If you are not treating yourself properly why should others do it. If you want to have a happy realtionship you should start with the realtionship to yourself cuz you are always like a mirror in front of a woman. We built a certain carma by our thoughts and actions in life. Thats why we feel attracted to certain things, opinions ,humans etc. so think about and start living your life towards a direction of self love, spiritual love, self boundaries, health purpose etc. MEDITATE OR TAKE MEDICINE IF YOU ARE DEPPRESSED OR TROUGH YOURSELF OUT THERE AND TAKE ACTIONS. YOU CANT CHEAT THE SYSTEM OF CAUSE AND EFFECT.

I can guarantee you that if you’re running just a little bit outside of your house for 5-10 minutes everyday, doing MINDFUL meditation, try to force yourself to be greatfull at things, setting challenges for yourself like “before this day ends, I will go for that run!” And doing it even if it rains outside. Eat right, or at least eat less sugar, less carbs and more protein and vegetables. If you do these things for 2 weeks, I guarantee you that you’ll be happier. Each MINDFUL meditation “session” you do, it will bring you closer to yourself. Each time you force yourself to be greatful, you are learning your brain to think about happy thoughts randomly throughout the day❤️ And then running and eating right. Great body=greater mind. And if you want to, you can get in to religion if you already aren’t. Buy a Bible or a Koran if you want to. Happiness are just habits, if you love yourself, of course you are gonna do good habits. But you can do good habits to get you to love yourself and life to. Running does so much good for your brain, I’ve read an audiobook on running. I run everyday. But those days I don’t run, is still great because I’ve conditioned my brain to think positive thought every time because of Gratitude. I guarantee you that you’ll be much happier if you do these things. Love you❤️🧘‍♂️

This is Julien's best video and something that everyone getting into pickup needs to watch beforehand and fully understand. Humans in general should learn this shit. But like Julien said, you can listen to him and think you "understand" it but really you don't unless you put in the work. Self-enquiry is the fastest, less bullshit, straight forward way towards this. High results, but it's intense. But if you're tired of being in hell every few days and feel like committing suicide so often like I used to then you'll put in the work. Because fuck that shit... Maybe like 6 months now that I have not been depressed.

I watched this a few years and it really didn't click with me until recently. I was chasing self improvement so hard until I got really physically sick. It ruined my relationship and nearly cost me my job. My life felt stagnant and I was in a deep depression. For years I was running away from all the negative feelings I had about myself and with the illness they all hit me like a tidal wave. I realized I needed to address these feelings and search for happiness in myself. Not in external goals or purpose. Now life feels better than it ever has before. I feel proud to be my authentic self and I am working toward to loving myself unconditionally.

I had the most intense and deepest experience of my life last night. I tried the breathing exercise taught by Julien in this vid and went into meditation to try and dig up my inners demons. And it worked. 20 minutes in and i unraveled some dark shit that i have been carrying for 10 years, something that crippled me and that my brain thought to be absolutely true. I cried like i have NEVER cried before in my life. It just went all out. I recently got dumped (the day after we hooked up actually) by a cutie because i was just being too needy for her, i came from a place of desperation and scarcity. And it triggered some deep emotions in me, some stuff that i didn't understand. So I went through all the pain i felt and realized that it took source from one traumatic event in my teen years, involving a particularly harsh rejection by a girl i was fond of. At that time, i had huge insecurities about my looks. I was very skinny. And when you're a teen and you're building your identity, it can easily be disrupted by others. I was fond of this girl and her curly hair. I just wanted to give her love and express to her all the positive energy i had in me at the time. I was a little boy in a teen vacation camp, my feelings didn't come from scarcity, i was happy. But one time, we were just hanging out. I don't remember what i said to her, maybe something chody like : "do you think we could be together ?" To which she replied : "No not you, you are a skeleton." And the guy next to us looking at me, with a mocking smile on his face : "Is that true man ? You are a skeleton =) ?". BAM. That was it. In a couple of seconds, i had my confidence (at least the little i had) in myself shattered into small pieces. I think i started pickup back then to subconsciously compensate for all this shit i had buried in me. I even verbalized it to a friend : "I think i'm doing this because i'm chasing the chimeras of my past". The chimeras being the girls that didn't like me when i liked them.. I fee like something is gone, at least a part of the pain has been processed. I know there's more, a lot more actually. But if you know how to go through it and explore it you're on the right track. Tips if you want to create good conditions for this experience to happen : as few stimulis as possible. I did it in my place (this way no judgement from anybody, no one can hear you or see you), in the dark, naked, with earplugs in ears so i could hear my inner body more easily. Find what suits you the best and let yourself explore the scenarios that trigger a reoccuring pain in you. Through respiration, you can find it. Everytime my brain started to drive me away from what i was looking for, i regrounded myself through respiration. There, that was my experience. And i know there are gonna be more. Good luck guys ! May the RSD be with you.

I don't understand why there is nobody criticizing this at all. He literally said about resources and books as being "more shit getting in the way". He either talks out of his ass without thinking or he doesn't understand what he is experiencing, maybe because he is not a psychologist or psychiatrist. He obviously dives in some shit he doesn't understand at all and teaching to others his own experience about it.
@DmNetworks
@DmNetworks 5 жыл бұрын
@Fahim Well I quoted him directly. I am talking about this video and what he said here. He did said exactly what I wrote above. This is called talking out of your ass before thinking it trough. I saw some of his other videos when he is talking about books, and that is making it worse, today is saying you this tomorrow is saying that. He might be on his path of becoming a teacher and these might be his missteps, I don't know. But I am surprised that no one is really listening to what he says. I well aware of what he is trying to explain to people, but he is not delivering that at all, in this video anyway. Sorry.
@DmNetworks
@DmNetworks 5 жыл бұрын
@Fahim I understood what you are saying, and yes you probably understand what you think you should take out of it. You understand what's best for you, that's great! But he's delivery is flawed, here and in many other videos I watched with him. He assumes you know what is in his head. He assumes you know him in everything he says. Well not everybody knows him.

AWESOME video. For those interested in the idea of diving into yourself to release and 'heal' the internal traumas and barriers to happiness, let it be emphasized that it's not going to be unveiled or released by a few hardcore deep explorations or attempts at healing. It's just too much to be removed at once and it would be extremely distressing to try to iron-man it. Instead, it is important to create a personal commitment to recognizing painful experiences for what they are (just your own innocence on auto-pilot through negative programming that was imprinted on you) and decide to 'let-go' or accept them as they come up, when you can over time. It's not something that you will figure out and have it click like an answer to a riddle, but instead a gradual unfolding. The speed at which you'll shift will be determined by how committed you are to choosing to feel into yourself and allow the emotions of the moment as they arise through your day, day to day, forever more. Day by day, every time you are willing to feel into the discomfort and what is truly happening within you, that will slowly move mountains. for anyone who would like a book reference for a technique that will allow for an easy but effective way of releasing the subconscious stuff julien is talking about, I recommend 'Letting Go: The Pathway To Surrender by David R. Hawkins' two other sources for practice and understanding are Teal Sawns videos here on youtube, and The Presence Process by Michael Brown (this is a hardcore 8 week practice and would be fitted to people who like to dedicate themselves or stick to plans) Julien mentioned dr hawkins in the vid too Much love to Julien. Thank you brother.

Julien, my love. MEN AROUND THE WORLD NEED IT!!! THEY NEED TO LEARN THAT IT'S OK TO CONNECT WITH THEIR INNER PAIN AND EMOTIONS, IT'S OK TO GET THERE, GO EMOTIONAL, SCREAM, CRY, WHATEVER THEY FEEL. AS THE MAN IS ALSO HUMAN, LIKE WOMAN. THEY BREATH, THEY FEEL, THEY HAVE ORGANS IN THEIR BODY LIKE HEART, THEY FEEL PAIN. NO DIFFERENCE!!! THE DIFFRENCE IS JUST THAT RESISTANCE BASED ON EGO MADE BY THE SYSTEMS AROUND US THAT HAVE BEEN MANIPULATING US FOR THOUSANDS YEARS. AND YOU - EVERY MAN, HAVE STILL BALLS AFTER DOING THAT INNER STUFF, EVEN MORE CAUSE YOU ARE BRAVE ENOUGH TO DO THAT, TO BE A REAL HUMAN! BRAVO YOU, PEACE AND LOVE TO YOU MAN!!!❤💪💯💣 And you have aknowgledged all of these that you can now teach others, by going through all that sh*t, so this fact makes that sh*tty events a valuable for all of us, remember that!!!

Shit, I've know for awhile that my approach to my life and the goals in my life was wrong, I just didn't understand in what way. Julian, you perfectly summed it up. My focus needs to shift from "what do I need to do to get happier", to "what do I need to remove in order to experience what is already there". Man after I watched this, I started meditating right after and I got that gimps of what that actually feels like. It there, Its fucking there, and it has been the whole time. My whole journey has changed today. My desire for change has been from a place of pain, always. A desire to escape. Im tired of it, its like you said. trying to count to infinity, fucking impossible. Thanks for the content man. You never know who its going to affect, but it did for me.

It’s insane how even meditation can be a form of distraction. The only true way to be happy is to 100% love yourself and in order to do that you need to go through hell before you can get to the finish line. By hell, I mean spending time by yourself with absolutely no distractions and allowing all of those deep subconscious negative thoughts to come to you. In that moment, you don’t run, you don’t find something for temporary joy, you don’t give it an emotional response.. you simply just embrace it. Embrace the fact that you’re not your thoughts. Everything you tell yourself to cover up your insecurities is just your ego. If you can handle that pain and don’t let it control you, you’ll realize it was worth it in the end. It will slowly start to lose its power over you and you’ll learn to love yourself again. The feeling of “being free” is real. You have to let go. To whoever reading this, don’t give up on your dream, you’re not alone. Unbelievable video by Julien

the journey of returning back to God... (aka our creator) > yes. we have a creator. > the quicker that's *realized* the quicker you/we find *true* peace. its the tale as old as time itself 👍

"So: first you familiarise yourself with the view. Then, second, you internalise the view through experience. Third, you prepare to ‘catch yourself out’ in the act of conforming to pre-set emotional patterns. Fourth, you stare into the face of the arising emotion. "This is by no means an instant cure, but it is an immediately effective method. Failure is axiomatic when it comes to attempting what is usually thought of as impossible; but so is success - right from the beginning. "Every time you try to stare into the face of an arising emotion, you confirm yourself in the practice of cutting through conditioning. Even wanting to start is success. Even a first failed attempt is success; because, in a very real sense, there is no such thing as a bad meditation session. We learn something, as long as we remain open to learning. So this must be our attitude if this practice is to make any difference to our lives. We are bound both to fail and to succeed many times; rather like the salmon that have to leap up waterfalls to reach their spawning grounds. Trying to change a lifetime of internal and external conditioning is a difficult task, but not an impossible one. However, your journey can be a little more joyous than the salmon’s! If you begin to practise you will experience a difference in your life. The ultimate goal is always both very close and very distant; and when one day you come to realise that the path is the goal, the concepts of failure and success will no longer have any meaning. "Those who have experience of meditation may find this method easier than those who have never attempted it before. But whatever your level of experience, the existence of painful emotions is a spur to practice. This is especially the case if perception of cyclic patterns allows disenchantment with the habits of duality. Everyone has their own individual capacity, and there is no saying whether people who have sat in practice over a period of time will excel over fresh practitioners confronting their emotions directly for the first time. Motivation is absolutely necessary. Without the firm decision to embrace emotions as the path, even those who have vast meditative experience will not succeed. "It is sad to reflect on the number of people ostensibly engaged in spiritual practice, compared to the number of people who are prepared to work on themselves as they actually are in an everyday setting." Chogyam, Ngakpa. Spectrum of Ecstasy (pp. 241-243). Shambhala. Kindle Edition.

Every new born child is happy. And when we start to grow up our parents, our teachers in our kindergaten, in our schools, in our work start comparing us to others, and say stuff like: You are not good enough, your friend Joe has A and you don't or You shloud have more money, you should have kids etc.. The moment we start to detach ourselfs from this kind of thinking we may be one step closer to be happy! :). Peace Julien great video!

Hey Julien, The point that hit me the most was: that you don't need to understand but to know the things. That things point you in your direction. So Long I have been studying, grinding, reading books, working hard and somewhere along the way I lost myself. Because I did so much to get my goal I forgot what my goal was about. In these days I have realized that I need to connect back to myself and let go of learning for a while. All in all, thank you for sharing, you are a great mentor!

Saw this live in Vegas and it was superb. Julien has gone through hell with the media scandal but I'm happy he's taken his experience and become a better, happier man for it. The strength of character it must have taken to view that whole episode as a learning experience and take the positives from it must have been immense. I chatted with him outside afterwards and I said he's got a great energy about him now, much better than the pre-scandal days. It's strange to say but the scandal may have been the best thing for him! Big respect Julien and keep up the good work. Ps he was a really good bloke just to have a chat with too.... Reaffirms my belief in the RSD brand when the instructors are great guys off camera too!

Before you get to the state of happiness you have to go through the emotion of happiness Like we all watch this because we want to be happy, well we’re dependent on the lesson julien teaches to reach the state of happiness So the emotion of happiness isn’t bad, it’s just immature, like a teen growing into adulthood

Thats what all spirituality and shit is about. All this mystery about beeing enlightend is exactly this. Going beyond this old paradigm of believing you need something or some reason to be happy. Im just happy. =) My old life was 10% happyness and 90% management. Now its like 90% happyness and 10% of managing life to raise happyness even higher. There is basicly no demand of anything. Just be happy. But we are all addicted to being unhappy and believe that we need or deserve it. No ppl. You deserve to be happy. Be happy. Being happy is your true self. Stop believing your illusions. It takes no time. In can happen right now, instantly.

I love it Julien. I've been rationalizing my purpose being what gives me happiness, but on the other side of the spectrum, if we all sat around being happy, we wouldn't get anything done as a society. Understanding the inner voice or ego is about balance. It pushes you to achieve, but we should balance it with knowing we are enough. Well done though bro. Great work

I used to do the sensory deprivation tank and never once did I experience any type of “hell”…just pure peace and actually would go a lot because I could organize my thoughts. Sort out my issues with no distractions. Every answer seems so clear in there. Don’t let how he described it scare you. I highly highly recommend it. I don’t suggest doing 2 hours your first time tho. Maybe that’s where he went wrong. Do an hour if you can

I am in a situation in life now. But I did what he said and brought my past tramas into my awareness and the old ones and even the newest one gave me emotions but then he said you will start crying and I thought come on... then I thought of when I was around 9 or so and for various reasons ALL my friends moved away and that year I had no one to trick or treat with I was very depressed at that time... not in a clinical way but sad and all of the sudden I started crying... I couldn't believe it. That pain left me long ago but I can't believe hoe much it affected me now when bringing it up.

This is a great video Julien 👍👍🙌🙌👏👏 It truly shows how you studied (and learnt) a lot and became a an expert of soul, which is an amazing subject to sink and investigating into. I' ve been in a similar path where I' ve been spent the last 3 years and more reading a lot about soul, anxiety, confidence etc.. I disagree on a couple points though. First regarding Eckhart Tolle teaching... In his "The Power of Now" he teaches that you have to focus on the present moment ALL THE TIME, so not that you only focus on the present moment during meditation AND then when this is over you re back to your usual problems (anxious thoughts, stressful thoughts etc etc). In his teaching he uses a pretty straight and drastic approach, he says the PAST HAS TO BE DEAD EVERY MOMENT, IT IS USELESS, YOU DO NOT NEED IT, ONLY USE IT WHEN IS ABSOLUTELY NEEDED (like when you re at work). As for many.. meditation is the way.. It takes out the emotional charge from the thoughts, it weakens the thoughts (my best definition of meditation) >> SO therefore you automatically become more and more present, but not only during meditation but also during your normal daily activity. Like magic your useless, sticky thoughts become more weaker. Second point, he also, similarly to you, says that you have to abandon yourself to the emotion: do not fight it, do not label it, do not judge it... just surrender to it, feel it. THEN it goes away by itself. The only difference is that you do not need to go and dig deep inside yourself and try to find what is really causing these negative emotions. This would mean going back in the PAST and try to find out what is going on, BUT the PAST HAS to BE DEAD... there is no need to go and see what s going on there. IF the emotions comes just realize that the EMOTION IS NOT YOU and feel it, abandon yourself to it and that s it. Plus, personal opinion, I would be a bit caution to ask people to dig into your personal trauma or better (as Joe Dispenza would says) "OPEN THE BOX" because you might get an unexpected reaction, you never know. Would love to hear your reply and view on this..✌👍👍 Julien, your content is amazing ... your "Stop being cool" is a spot-on issue showing that you re really someone who knows what is talking about. Not many around. Stay strong my friend 💪💪

Another huge spiritual practice regarding cultivating happiness is detachment. I mean as long as we're here we have to be doing something with our time, bodies and lives . Shouldn't it be something that we're really interested in? If we can effectively pursue our interest , especially if said interest benefit our fellow humans, and not be attached to the outcome, we're golden. It also really helps to realize that you're not your ego identity and if you suddenly dropped dead it would "probably" be like waking up from a dream in the real reality.

The key is to no longer ignore every aspect of the self, we ignore, the thoughts,emotions,feelings, we deny ourselves the awareness to the Subconscious... When awareness comes through Questioning, Why then we can get to the root, but only when we are willing to go into that awareness with Love, we all want Happiness b/c We only want to be Loved. "Lack" of love is the root cause. That Love has to come from within first, we lack love for ourselves so we revert to getting it in our external world. Loving ourselves is not "Selfish", it is being your own best friend coming from a space of I will not deny you or Hide anything/experiences that might bring suffering, for the Ego is like an Over Protective Parent/a copy of who our Parents are so it thinks/programmed to think it's doing you justice but it needs to Expand(As in Rising into a Higher Perspective not expand as in building off of the old foundation from once it was building off of, the expansion can be assisted through the perspective of the Highest Self) itself, and We have to let All of the Self expand together as one family, only then integration and release can occur. It's not about Picking one aspect of Self to take Control but allowing All Aspects to have a chance to be heard/expressed. Good points, much love.

I've recently had a "satori" experience but i'm not sure what to call it. It was 3 days ago, I was feeling overwhelmed emotionally with everything and I said I can't live like this anymore, I just felt so emotionally trapped and boxed in and what I started doing was breathing to let out all that negative toxic sludge. I still feel like I have to continue doing it but I've realized from what Julien is saying is that happiness comes internally and once it does you feel inspiration come up to go and do things from an inspiration type of frame versus before I would feel bad internally and I would do things because I felt like they were the right things to do but I would necessarily not stick with them. What I am saying is that I feel much better and sooo optimistic about the future ! Good luck!

Julien rediscovered Stoicism from first principles, good stuff :) Consistently letting go is at the core of it. Seneca "meditated" (not the modern meaning) on losing all he had, and spent a day per year or so in deprivation of all luxuries to remind himself that all he has are not essential to who he is. Touching base with his core identity, striping out all the ornaments around it.

now that i have re-thought all this a day after i've watched the video, i feel like you're talking about conditional happyness again. don;t get me wrong, i liked a lot of what's been said here. i even meditated the evening after i watched the video and the morning after just diving into those unpleasant moments i know i've been through and experienced them with acceptance. that was cool. it felt relieving. at the same time it's like you're saying "i'll be happy, once i get rid of all that negative mass i've collected in my subconscious mind". living that way is kinda like driving a car forward but only looking in the rear view mirror. again, it's "i'll be happy, if/when..." whatever condition. i know i'm up here, but i think i'm down there and i'll get back up only when i throw all the garbage, so to speak. correct me if i'm wrong, but that's how it seems to me. i just don't feel right about it. and i feel like happyness is a choice. it's an internal thing based solely on my decision to be it. i also watched the video with teal swan on shadow work and the word "why" got into my attention. instead of asking myself "why is this happening to me", i'd rather choose for myself why it is happening. and also, if i choose to move into the light, i'd rather move in to the light, rather than dive into the darkness. respect for you bro. it ain't hard to tell you've grown and expanded a lot along your journey so far. i'm all about a discussion here so i'd love to know what you think about what i'm suggesting. peace : )

don't do this ! I says very intersting things but keep critical thinking. you have to appropriate yourself what he gives you.. for that you have to shape it to you, to fit the person you are and to become a natural thing becomes it became yours, your way to think. I know you saying it like a joke but I guess you thinking at least a bit too much.. that's why you said it in an auto derision way, so you know thta there s a problem with the way you taking too easily everything, even what he don't says (like his way to be, to speak, to react, to think etc). stay yourself and adapt what you really what to take and ask yourself questions, think, once again the way to do it is to appropriate it, to absorb what you need/what/think is good for you and adapt it, shape it to yourself to have it when you need it, to become a part of you 😉

Even for temporary happiness, it's not something that comes when your reasons to be unhappy disappear. Reasons to be unhappy will always be there for you. But the same is true for reasons to be temporary happy. It's about training your mind to focus on them. It feels strange at first, but then your mind changes, and it's like your whole life has changed, even if it is literally the same.
