Pandas do not live on the Tibetan Plateau, with higher altitudes and climatic conditions different from the habitats of Pandas. Tibet is even thousands of kilometers away from the Panda habitats in Sichuan and Shaanxi.

Even with panda number in the safe zone, panda needs Human intervention to continue on as Its' Diet are limited to bamboo grown from a certain region in China and reproduction are very difficult naturally, most importantly Pandas are only Found in China and are unable to live in other habitat. That is why keeping pandas out side its' nature habitat is expensive as zoos needed to artificially create the habitat.
