I feel where you’re coming from Matt! I do think the current state of the country and what the future holds is a part of my uncertainty, but it goes beyond that and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I feel restless. I guess I need to sit with the feelings and see what happens. And, as you said, there are always positive, good things that are within our control to look forward to! Thanks for sharing, it helps to know I’m not the only one feeling this way! Now on to the shed, it looks great! I'm feeling you, Matt. As I've gotten older the new year fills me with a sense of foreboding. People approach the new year predicting and prophesying their goals and things they wish to accomplish. And they are confident and act as if they are in control of every eventuality. But the fact of the matter is there's an opposite side to that coin. The new year may not be a good one. For example, I never contemplated that when the year 2021 began that it would be the last year I share with my mother. So I always approach the new year with caution and reverence, because of what may or may not happen. The truth is we don't know what the new year will bring. All we can do is take it one day at a time. Expect the best, but prepare for the worst. Because like Forest Gump said, " life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you gonna get "

I am right there with you. The last couple of months of have been some of the hardest for me. I feel very much like you do 2024 was a year of dissapointment and pain, I lost my love of 33 years after a failed spinal surgery. That has been life changing and soul wrenching. My outlook is one day at a time continue to deal with my loss and do what my soulmate would have wanted me to do, I have to honor him by living my best life possible. Self care is important preparation for one’s interaction with others, especially with family. What better family than yours Matt & Blue. I, too, enjoy getting up in the morning and walk my dog around the neighborhood and exchanging greetings with passers by. Hey, I am back. I stop watching your videos for large chunks of time, but sometimes, I get pulled back in by the comforting nature of your videos. I watched your videos the first time when I was struggling with coming out. I guess I came back because I am struggling again. Right now, I am struggling with someone else's negativity. Work is very challenging right now, and I am struggling to stay optimistic. If someone were trying to get you to quit your job so thy could take your hours, what would you do? My manager already knows, they can't fire her; just cut her hours. Even if you do not know it's okay, just seeing matts face, he is such a warm individual, and then Blue with his jokes, I feel better.
