Today we take on the Mile High Club, the most difficult mission in Call of Duty 4. I don't know why its called the mile high club. You're MUCH more than a mile above the ground. What? Can I just go around calling myself the member of the marathon club if I run the 400m? No! That would be ridiculous! Speaking of which I was pretty good at the 400m in highschool. My best time was only 57 seconds, but that was enough to qualify me for the district finals. Those finals were crazy too. There was a food cart nearby that sold me like 3 cups of ramen noodles for 3 dollars. 3 DOLLARS! Not in today's economy that's for sure. I need to get an EV or Hybrid man gas is expensive.

Yep, recall this being a pain, hated how useless your AI companions were. IIRC I actually got to the end with the hostage in about 20 minutes, then shot the hostage, lol. Then it took another two hours or so to get back to that point and finish.

@Lunacy_1993 Like I said it's been years since I last did it. So maybe they did do that, but at the same time I recall having to kill most of the enemies myself, even with the flashbangs. But my two strongest memories of doing this is getting to the hostage the first time and accidentally killing them, and my allies not being very useful.

I FUCKING AGREE!! I did a stream and i honestly hate how my microphone was ringing and wasnt set up properly, but I was trying to get platinum on my PS Account, and it took me 3 to 4 hours STRAIGHT, maybe 2 hours on MHC (Mile High Club) with me loosing my mind with a already said fucked up microphone 🤣 it took me up to 4 am to get it done.

Thank god I was able to cheese this achievement... You could actually do the level on Recruit and right before the head-shot at the end, back out of the game. The game makes an auto-save right at the hostage part. So just load the level back up on Veteran and all you have to do is take the head-shot. Gotta get those 100% completions anyway I can 😅

@@doris3618 I got this from TrueAchievements if you ever want that 100%... though this would be for COD: Modern Warfare Remastered, not sure if this would work on the original... 1. Load the Mile High Club mission on recruit 2. Play until the point where you have to save the hostage 3. Shoot the guy 4. Save and Quit 5. Quit the game 6. Start the game again. 7. Select the Mile High Club mission on veteran. 8. Right after it start loading press the Xbox button and quit the game 9. Start the game again and select Resume.

CoD 4 was one of those games I was DETERMINED to 100%. I was only 14 years old at the time and after so much Pain and Rage finally beating Mile High Club and unlocking that achievement. I cannot overstate the amount of relief and serotonin I felt after fully beating CoD 4 on Veteran especially as a Teenager. The only feat that gave me as much satisfaction was beating CoD WaW on Veteran.

I remember doing this on the original version on the 360. 2 hours of straight grinding, after having just completed the campaign finally on veteran. I finally completed mile high club. And when the remaster came out, I refused to do it again. Once was more than enough.

I remember banging my head against the walls doing this achievement as a kid. As Price says in the game, CHECK THOSE CORNERS. I think I had every single possible spawn or deviation path the AI took on this mission memorized by the end of it. And every single voice line as well. Worth the weekend I spent on this cheevo

Act 3, or No Fighting in the War Room specifically on veteran difficulty, will always be a roadblock for me. So many clown closets and it's on a short time. And this makes Executive Order from BO1 look like a light warm up

I'm not sure if you've completed it yet, but if you haven't, here's a little tip. Make sure to use Soaps M4A1 Gernade Launcher, your frags, and flashbangs. Since the level is mainly tight hallways and rooms, most enimes are bunched up, and using the items above a lot is useful. I also recommend making sure you slow down enough to get enimes that would surprise you if you are going fast and don't worry about the timer you'll still have time to disarm the nukes.

I actually managed to get this achievement on my PS3 years ago as a bumbling teenager without ever realizing it was apparently one of the hardest achievements in CoD history until watching this video today. Teenager me was built different and played CoD in a way that makes today me look like a newb lolol Granted, it took a _lot_ of tries and cries of frustration, but the euphoria of finally beating this mission on Veteran was on a level equivalent to the hardest of Soulsborne bosses lol

Mile High Club on Veteran requires actual SAS Operator levels of skill, patience and accuracy. I remember on my 15th birthday some friends and I took turns trying to do it and it took HOURS before one of us pulled it off (and it certainly wasn't me who did it lmao)

I got Mile High Club on the Xbox 360 and it was great. Took me a whole day basically. If I remember correctly after all this time you pretty much have to use your flashes and just ignore most of the enemies while only shooting the enemies directly in your path. All you gotta do is get to the end and shoot the boss in the head. Literally everything else is extraneous.

I remember needing to follow a guide from Achievement Hunter back in the day to finally get mile high club, and even then it probably took me hours to get. But there *is* a very specific path that guarantees you'll pass the mission as long as you don't mess up.

I did a Veteran playthrough of this game a few months back, and this level alone probably took me an hour to do because of the incredibly tight time limit and difficult enemies. I was incredibly happy to be able to beat this level finally after so much trouble. Wouldn't recommend.

I gave up on this after trying for 4 days. I swear Infinity Ward didn't play test this shit on Veteran, for example, the mission where you have to hold out for rescue in Chernobyl when all those enemy waves come. Wtf man, there is absolutely NO WAY that the developer tested those levels on Veteran. I only passed the chernobyl level after a series of sheer RNG luck. It was no skill based WHAT so ever.

The difficulty spike between hardened and veteran is too much, I finished Hardened in just a few tries, while i havent even finished veteran. (ive finished Black Ops 1, 2, MW1, 2, 3, AW on veteran yet ive never finished this single mission.) Crazy thing is, this mission was gonna be in the campaign, meaning youd have to be forced to finish this on veteran if you wanted the achievo.

The Reason why the "Beat entire Campaign on Veteran" Achievement has so many Achievers, is because theres a simple Glitch in the MWR Campaign that you can abuse, just play the Game till last checkpoint on easiest difficulty, then change it to Veteran or something like that, i 100% this game years ago so i dont quite remember, but the specific steps can easily be found online.

I will always remember the night I got this achievement. Had an old school sleepover with a friend who brought over his Xbox and we both played in the same room on different TV's, online multiplayer, all night. He went to bed around 3 AM, I decided to stay up and get Mile High Club. It took me until 7 AM, but I did it. 100% on CoD 4 :)

I managed to 1000 cod4 in high school. With mile high club i learned that continuously moving and spraying with the p90 makes the enemies shots not hit you so going that route made it a quite a bit easier

I got this on both editions. The original Call of duty, that first guy could be ignored and your allies actually could be semi relied on. Not much, but that ONE guy. They had him. The AI got dumber for this mission, slower on the draw making this mission actually exponentially harder on the remaster

I remember ages ago that the key to this bonus mission is to actually use your squad for their intended purpose. Your job is to make gaps and break through, whilst your squad deal with threats behind your charge. Which means your goal is not to kill the enemies, but to push forward, and leave the stragglers to them. Well places flashbangs were key to this mission; more so than gunplay, since it allows your squad to clean up after you. If I'm remembering right, you start with a knife, repeat a process of shooting the immediate threats, tossing a flashbang, charging forward, and repeating the process. Still took ages to get perfect though. The silver lining was that this level loaded quite quickly, so going through countless runs wasn't a slog. Well done on getting it the first time you reached the VIP. Must have felt good.

I dont remember this achievement being that difficult on pc. I just ran in and memorised locations of enemies and shot them before they shot me works well. I enjoyed this achievement and totally recommend it

Back when achievements meant something, I remember spending 6 hours on this achievement when I had to quite literally mimic someone's guide to flashbang on point and properly move from area to area. When I finally got to the slowmo save the citizen portion and got it I drank my gamer juice mtn dew and accepted I had no life

I found the spec ops achievements in Modern Warfare 2 and 3 far more difficult than the Mile High Club achievement. I barely even mess with the zombie or extinction modes in single player, as I feel they were clearly designed with multiplayer in mind.

For anyone attempting to do this, you can shoot right through the seats if they try to take cover behind them. Once you learn how many bullets it takes (based on the sound usually) you can just burst through it. And optimal flashabangs in the isles are key.

I remember I got this in like half an hour and I was stunned that I was able to make it. I know it took a lot of shots you shoot through the walls and pre-fire some enemies that walk around corners.

God, the 2007 version was hellish but it had a perfect route people found since everyone spawned in the same spot. MWR removed the locked spawns and made it even harder

Beating WaW in veteran was harder, but this was also incredibly challenging. You kinda just have to stun the enemies before they see you, and keep moving forward to prevent spawns

I can proudly say that I've got this (and all the other achievements) on PS4, most enemies always spawn in the same place but some tend to change path every restart, also you have to keep pushing forward and don't stop or you'll we swarmed, that + the aimbot/onehitkill is what makes it hard, it took me around 1 and half hour to get it.

It just need lot's of practice and muscle memory for throwing flashbangs at the right time. Once I finished it on Veteran, I playthrough the mission on Recruit for around 30+ plus times, just to fulfill the satisfactory after the excruciating pain I've gone through.

I got this achievement way back in the day. So yes I was part of that 0.6%. Its all about timing, and memorization. Some might say you need some luck too BUT its exactly the same each run so it's about getting your run perfect. It took me a couple hours to do it.

I remember trying for this achievement years ago, 5 times in a row I got to the exfil stage, just.p out the plane when prompted and get the fail screen. I gave up after that. Snapped the disc in half top and have never played another CoD since.

Mile High Club was the first chapter I finished on Veteran. Took about 30-40 tries. Try playing No Fighting In The War Room. THAT will leave you crying in the corner.

First time I made it to the end my nerves were so high I accidentally shot the hostage, absolutely heartbreaking. But maybe an hour later I did it. Then I went back and beat it on the original call of duty 4. OG cod 4 is a bit easier because you can see the enemies better

Played through the game on veteran and it was pretty difficult then I reached this mission. Stopped playing for two years, came back and sat there for three hours trying to complete it. Eventually did it but god it was a pain.

I did this back on 360 well over 10 years ago. It took me a couple hours to complete and there is absolutely a strategy to this whole thing. One of my proudest achievements. Freakin difficult for sure.
