no, the hardest achievment is completionist which requiers you to get all the other achievments in the game including invictus, so you need to geet invictus + survive 25 emissions and 25 psy storms + kill 500 stalker + visit all 33 regions of the zone + spend 5 hours undercover while being watched + smash 100 boxes + get 1000000 RUB, etc...

True. But no one brags about that. I’ve never heard anyone go “Well I’ve gotten all achievements on GAMMA”. It’s always Invictus that people will lie and cheat over. I’ve seen so many streamers with their camera and stuff over the bottom right to hide the “DEMO” debug mode and when you call them you they either ban you or stop streaming. I’ve also seen people install extra mods to bypass the Invictus requirements and make the game waaaay easier for themselves. Not to mention on default settings it wasn’t possible to do the shoot down a helicopter achievement until recently with the new quest add on.

I got the Invictus achievement without cheating after many attempts in Gamma 0.9.1 or whatever the version from before December 2024 was called. It boils down to avoiding unnecessary risks, abusing meds that reduce incoming damage, getting the Ace suit from the mercenaries (you don't even need an exoskeleton to do it), using various mutant skins/pelts and artefacts in the 5 slots, so that you get maximum protection from bullets and melee attacks. You then stock up on ammo for your favourite guns and it's smooth sailing from there. The most difficult parts are not dying to a pack of dogs, cats or boars in early game and shutting down the Brain Scorcher. Edit: Also, in that version of Gamma, a Seraphim artefact could literally revive you, if you got shot to death, if you had it equipped on your belt slot. Phantom Star could make you invisible for about 90 seconds, Moss + eating raw Bloodsucker meat or Psysucker meat could also make you invisible until you perform a "hostile action", but I found the Moss + Bloodsucker meat combo to be unreliable, because you will become visible again for no apparent reason and eating raw Bloodsucker meat will randomly damage one of your body parts. So, if you got 2 Phantom Stars, you could get in and out of the Brain Scorcher without firing a single shot, if you timed it right.

​@@ukarma5887Keep killing Mercs at Wild Territory and Army Warehouse whenever its possible, and after a while some mercs with Master+ Rank will starting spawn, and with scavenger lvl14+ you will probably acquire it, and if you want to cheat it out, when you kill one that has the Ace armor (it easily spotable because their model is different, it's a Scientific Suit with a overcoat) use Daddy Save before check his inventory and save scum till the Ace armor shows up in his inventory, it works with any gear even NOSOROG, I don't like to do it because it is, well..., cheating, but still a method 🤷‍♂️.

Shout-out to the madmen who Invictus back when mutants could stunlock and boars had damn near 180° attacks. It used to be significantly more dangerous to fight multiple boars early game than to 1v1 a chimera with the starter knife. 🔪

Currently attempting it, game is actually so much better when you have to think everything through, havent even beat the gamr normally so its been a ride, most runs end in AW so i cant imagine how difficult the north will be. (Have gotten to the north before but that was 9.1 on a normal run)

Not gonna lie, doing an Invictus back in the day was a hella fun. I still got the footage because I wanted to make a video about it but never did, 17 attempts back in 2023, I kept track by naming characters in chronological order :D I was really close to failing the 17th one as well, because an NPC bugged out on a quest in Pripyat and stuck on a different floor. I was trying to get to him so I could speak to him underneath an object, it ragdoled and killed me. I was so deflated because I thought I had a perfect run and it's nearly ruined. It was literally about 5 minutes before you go to the final fight. I can't play gamma without permadeath anymore. It gets really boring and still very quick. Tbh, looking back at some clips and most deaths could have been easily avoided by either 1) not being greedy or 2) grinding a bit more to get better stuff After doing it once, I never bothered to do it again, because after BS it's just more of the same, but usually now before doing BS I already had 80% of stuff I need to just not give a crap anymore. Btw, unless something changed the freedom mission to destroy BTRs is the best thing ever. It's like 99% free loot. You go around the back, jump into a BTR and use it to kill every soldier on kordon, just watch out for nades as they explode the BTR and you are insta dead

Normally for that mission I just disguise as a friendly, walk back and throw grenades under the BTRs, cause for some reason the military doesn’t care about that

Phantom Star is your friend when dealing with the Brain Scorcher. Get as close as possible, put it on and run in. Even easier if you have more then one, of course. That being said, I've never tried an Invictus run but will one day. Maybe when 1.0 is out.

With the new update I’m pretty sure you can’t repair perk artifacts. So you’d definitely have to get a couple of Phantom Stars.

@@Venoxium I think I read on the Discord that you can merge two perk artefacts of the same kind. But you really only need 30 seconds so it doesn't have to be 100%. When the road ends from Radar, you can put it on, run to the wall and on the left side there is a tree you can run across, jump down on the other side of the wall and run in to the tunnel. If the Phantom Star afterwards is depleted its easier imo to fight the monolith on the way out. There is far more cover in the tunnel before the train cart and it becomes sort of a kill box. And if all else fails you can retreat back in to the Brain Scorcher.

Try Invictus + Chaos Tricks :v theres also something else i found, if you equip a Redline Jacket and save reload / go through a level transition wearing redline, you will be even faster. Stacks with knot. After reloading/entering a new area, wear something like an Exo or Heavy armor and you will have a boost of speed. Good hunting stalker

I've played 100s of hours of Gamma so I can't in good faith say that the modpack isn't AMAZING, but I really struggle with the intended experience vs what the game expects you to deal with. I think it should be a great fit for a permadeath/iron man run, but there are parts (including the brain scorcher) where you're expected to solo 50 Monolith soldiers, which is the main complaint with the ending of SoC. I just took a job for the mercs to secure the bridge in Limansk, it's scripted to send reinforcements once you reach that one house and they just keep blatantly spawing 10 feet away, my PDA absolutely LITTERED with white X's, and I've yet to complete it after burning through about 250 rounds of AP. I think there are games where you should mow down 100s of enemies and I think there are games where you should treat every encounter as life and death and play it as if the game has actual weight behind it, but I don't think one game can be both.

a strategy i've been enjoying recently is starting with no armor and a mosin as a mercenary, gives you a very good weapon and you can just equip any broken heavy armor you pick up in army warehouse, i would'nt say it's the most optimal build but it's definitly viable and is a lot of fun when you're tired of the same of .45 pistol every time

Wish gamma had a mood/stress system in which we can regulate the character's moods, imagine eating a chocolate after a shootout or smoking a cigarette while watching the sunrise to improve your mood I don't like how the character just grunts from pain and that's it, at least some buffs/debuffs with icons Eating sweets or drinking beer/vodka gives you +5 happines or getting paid after a job inproves you mood too, maybe someone will do it just like the cold system

Afaik there's a mod that does that. You take psy dmg constantly when outside, when in a fight. You replenish it by standing near a campfire, drugs, playing harmonica/guitar and porn mags. Bad news is it rebalances vodka and cigs to remove radiation reduction so early and mid game are hell.

You can, but good luck lol. Most of the time the game doesn't give you enough time to reload. The second your HP hits 0 & you have no more lives it instantly deletes all that characters saves.

No. Anomaly and GAMMA are standalone experiences. But I’d still recommend buying the OG games most of the time it’s on sale for just $10 and there’s a lot of amazing mods that you can use with the old games too that are really fun.

Grok needs to implement realistic discovery of shortcuts in my opinion. The fact that the Zone is open straight away ( even with Brain Scorcher requirement ) is a bit unfair. Your safe way through red forest is an example why.

To fix a small correction in your title - it is not "the hardest achievement in Gamma" because it is already in pure Anomaly... Doing Invictus over GAMMA is also much simpler and easier duo all the mechanics, weapons and armors you get in Gamma. Even just a example, in Anomaly you cannot get stuff yo shown up in the start menu, you simply cannot build that starting character :)

Invictus doesn't restrict commands. But obviously if you're doing a legit Invictus playthrough then you should only use it in cases of emergencies like being stuck etc. Like I normally use the commands to drop a hard save during Operation Afterglow when you must rescue Rogue, cause he gets stuck a lot.

This is due to the *weapon condition rework* where the weapon's overall condition was removed, which was previously increased by weapon lubricants. However, it is still taken into account in weapon search quests and for exchanging with Nimble, where it should be 90%+. But in fact, the overall condition was not removed and can still be seen on the workbench, to increase it you can replace parts with repair kits and service parts inside the weapon with cleaning kits.

Not everyone that does invictus uses knot, infact, most i know don't use it at all.
