For Kirby, I really expected either star dream soul os or astral birth void. Marx soul only has one phase, he isn't even close to the hardest boss in the series.

Void, yes. But Soul OS is a _JOKE_ compared to the other Soul bosses.

He also has a completely static pattern for the first 3.75 phases combined with the Halberd's dodge roll being absolutely broken, and the rest of his attacks in Phase 4 are relatively easy and intuitive to dodge (even the OHKO waves, you'll only need to see them once or twice and they have a set pattern as well), not to mention he'll have basically no health left once he finally escapes said script. Also you're very likely to have decent HP going in because literally every other boss in the game has this same problem except Galacta Knight, who does almost no damage anyway. I've played every True Arena except Soul Melter and I can confidently say Robobot's is the easiest by quite some distance. RtD still trips me up on occasion mostly thanks to HR-D3 and Galacta Knight, SSU's bosses hit REALLY freaking hard and several have basically no pattern, and TD's bosses have harder attacks to dodge on average. Plus, Robobot gives you a metric crapton of healing in comparison and lets you plan much more effectively by putting the fights in order.

@@parzival-bo I completely disagree here. Havent play rtd so cant speak of that. SSU is the easiest true arena imo. Is short and with hammer you can beat everything in less than 8 minutes. Bosses have barely any health. TD is... not memorable. Cant remember anything that coudnt just be steam rolled with hammer. Losing your ability in the pits of sectonia is the only problem tbh. Robobot does give a lot of health but only cherries, and is nesesary because of the crapton of bosses. Yeah the patterns ard not hard to figure out, but theres lots of them you gotta learn The difficulty is on how much can you endure without messing up or forgetting a pattern. Soul Meter EX is easily the hardest in the entire series. It has Morpho Knight who can mind control your allies and Astral Birth Void who is very bullshit. And kets not even talk bout doing it solo.

@@leeeroyjenkins555 Never did anything in Star Allies past the main story because I just didn't like it much, but I've seen Soul Melter EX so I'm not going to argue. Also Robobot gives you two Bottles which is 1/3 health, plus you can save it for when you really need it. And having a set order is a bigger advantage than you might think, especially considering that Susie 2.0 is harder than half the endgame bosses imo. I'll be blunt, Robobot is the only True Arena I beat on my first try. And before you say "Oh, well, I had experience from the other three", I hadn't played TD or SSU yet. And SSU is the only one where I HAD to use Hammer on my first try, which says something. Agree to disagree, all the same, but it's just my opinion. Doesn't change my belief that Soul OS is way easier compared to most of the prior Soul bosses tho.

marx soul is only really hard because at that point your health bar has taken a lot of abuse. he's very predictable and has no way to trap you in stone, unlike galacta knight who can just summon mace knights and prevent you from exiting stone form without taking a hit. if you're using stone and you've gotten to marx soul, you have a ~75-80% chance of beating him if you truly want to suffer in kssu, do helper to hero with sir kibble

I find Void pretty easy, actually. His attacks are pretty slow and the individual hits are quite weak. Memorize his pattern and you’ll be gold. I find Morpho EX, Dark Meta Knight’s Revenge, and Galacta Knight Returns harder because they have almost no consistency in phase 1.

In terms of Fire Emblem final bosses, Medeus is moderately difficult, and that's generous. Much harder ones are Hard mode Ashnard from Path of Radiance, who has two phases, can move, and can only be damaged by a few specific units; or Ashera from Radiant Dawn, who has shields you need to take down first, will one shot most party members, and the final blow has to be dealt by Ike or she regains all of her health, meaning a critical hit or skill activation can cause you to lose progress in the fight. I would've even accepted the Fates final bosses, or Three Houses final bosses, since they all have something going on with them. Medeus is just a damage sponge, and not a very good one, either.

Haven't reached ashera in RD, but there's no way in hell the fight against Hard Mode Ashnard is more difficult than the fight with Medeus on Hard 3 and up in the DS version of Shadow Dragon. In Hard 5, he's guaranteed to have 30 speed, so the only classes that can, in theory, not get doubled by him are sniper, horseman, berserker, swordmaster and thief, since those are the only ones that can have a speed stat of 27 or higher (because in order for a unit to double, they need 4 or more points of attack speed than the unit they're doubling in FE11). It also doesn't help that the enemies in the final map of SD in H5 are waaaaay more challenging than the ones in PoR's final map, and also that the bases and growths of player units in SD are generally much lower than those found in PoR.

@@metakracko929 Those are all valid points, but I'd still disagree with most of them. I don't see any issue with only being able to use those classes against Medeus, since those are some of the best classes anyway (other than sniper). But you also forgot that you can just attack Medeus with ballisticians, without even having to worry about taking damage. Plus Tiki/Naga has effective damage against Medeus, and you can sacrifice them if need be, unlike Marth. The other enemies in H5 SD may be more difficult than Hard PoR, but so what? This is a discussion about the hardest boss, not the hardest map. And even still, the enemies in Medeus's map are easier to bypass with warp, especially since Ashnard has 2 stages and can only be damaged by two units when you start the chapter, plus one more when he reaches the second phase. The bases and growths of SD units may be lower than PoR, but at least you can use more units against Medeus. And it's not like the scale of stats makes a difference when almost none of the usable units in PoR can double Hard Ashnard, and those that can deal the same amount of damage as the others, due to having lower strength. And just some final semantics that I feel should be addressed. Copycat names FE1, not FE11, but shows footage from both despite their huge differences. I chose to address it more as if he just meant the FE1 version and showed FE11 footage so it would look a bit better. He also says that "for average players he's a straight up nightmare", so I was considering it more as "who's the hardest boss an average player would face?", and an average player wouldn't be playing the hardest difficulty when there's 6 easier difficulty options. It's at least more likely for the average player to try the hard mode in PoR.

i have a trick for the final bowser fight: get him near the bombs, and when he comes near you, go behind him, grab him, and he will automatically touch the bomb. the third hit you can't do this

But if we're sticking to only Mother 2, it's debatable between Ness' Nightmare or Carbon/Diamond Dog, but personally, I think Ness' Nightmare is a more difficult boss

Star Dream Soul OS in Kirby: Planet Robobot took me a month to beat. It's most definitely the hardest in the series. The boss goes pretty overkill when you get to phase 3, and the last phase can absolutely wreck you in a few hits if you're not careful. I'd also add that most of the last battles in Soul Melter EX if you're playing solo are also extremely brutal. I've beaten Soul Melter EX with siblings and CPUs, but I still have yet to do it solo. Also, Kirby isn't directed at a younger audience than other friendly Nintendo franchises like Mario, DK, Yoshi, or Pokemon. It's actually directed at beginners, as stated by Masahiro Sakurai himself. I think a person of any age can be a beginner to gaming. Shinya Kumazaki (the current director) said as well that it's directed at all ages.

I think Cackletta from the original Mario and Luigi superstar saga on the gameboy should definitely be up there it can be really hard if you’re not prepared for it like I was. My personal hardest boss was Frank and his Frankestein from EarthBound. Yes, he is a beginner boss, but he does a lot of damage unless you defend. Not to mention the amount of Sharks you had to go through to even get to him. A maxed out bat and full PSI charge for lifeup was basically required for me to win this fight and progress.

While I have yet to play Pokémon gold and silver I personally found the ultra necrozma fight the hardest. Yes there’s ways to cheese it and yes you can easily beat it if you over level. But fighting that thing for the first time is one hell of an experience.

Ultra Necrozma is kind of tough to rank because you only need to prepare for one thing. When going in blind it's luck dependent and whether you have a steel type or not plays a big difference.

Great video! Let's see... Super Mario - Bouldergeist Daredevil for sure, Bowser in the Sky was challenging too, Giant Bowser in NSMBW is hard if you play without power-ups Paper Mario - only played the first game, and haven't reached the final boss, so I'd say Tutankoopa probably gave me the most trouble Mario & Luigi - Any Hard Mode Giant X boss in Dream Team, not a specific one, all of them. You have to play almost *perfectly* to win, and some of their attacks are crazy hard to avoid! For a normal boss, Antasma X was pretty insane. Haven't played Partners in Time to encounter the horrors of Elder Princess Shroob though... Mario Party - I've only fought a few Mario Party bosses, and it's been so long since I did... Mario Kart - the only bosses are from DS or the arcade ones, which I haven't played yet. Yoshi - I've only played Yoshi's Island, and only fought a couple bosses so far Wario Land - I've only fought one boss, in Wario Land 3, Doll Boy, but holy crap is he annoying. Haven't beat him yet! Luigi's Mansion - I had so much trouble with Shrewd Possessor back then, and I also had trouble with Knight MacFright because I couldn't figure out how to beat him! But right now, I don't know of a definite hardest boss... Super Smash Bros - So far, I'd have to say Tabuu on Intense, he's pretty crazy. But if you count the fact that he's also part of boss rush, the boss rush version is worse because although he is much weaker, one hit from the Off-Waves and you have to replay the whole Boss Battles over again 😠 The Legend of Zelda - Haven't fought many Zelda bosses so far but the hardest is by far Thunderblight Ganon. He took lots of tries, but he's gotta be my favorite Zelda boss so far Pokémon - So far, the Battle Chatlaines in Pokémon X are really difficult to beat the 2nd time. Just to get to one, you have to beat 50 consecutive trainers without losing once! And might I mention, these guys have strategies!

I find the randomness of the knights in Kirby to be pretty grueling. They have very little consistency for phase 1 and they hit like a truck. Phase 2 isn’t so bad if you can beat them fast, but if they go back to their phase 1 ways, it’s gonna stay really hard.

I have so many memories about fighting master core on the hardest difficulty on the 3DS many MANY times, I would still fight this boss fight even after beating it because I think it's fun, phase 4 can be so hard since it's basically your character your using but better, I mostly can defeat it by dealing a lot of damage on it, but rarely kill it by getting it into the death Barriers around the stage, I sometimes embarrassingly died on phase 5 where you have to get the actual core of the boss by yeeting it off stage, mostly because I get the core off stage too late that the cow straight up murders me

If i had to pick a boss from that game is the hardest is the fry guy. Wart i have beat so easily. Fry guy is a lot harder for me due to the small ones that go everywhere.

I would argue that the toughest boss in the Pokemon franchise is against Darkrai in the Dark Crater from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series. What makes it difficult is that you need to bring Cresselia with you. She’s not the greatest teammate and you have to use up a lot of your items to keep her from fainting (which makes you lose the dungeon and have to start over). So, once you get to Darkrai, you’re already not as fully equipped as you’d ideally want to be. Plus, Darkrai brings 6 lackeys in Arbok, Rhyperior, Magcargo, Magmortar, Aggron and Mismagius (while you’re stuck with yourself, your partner, and Cresselia). Darkrai’s Dark Void works so that it hits a range of spaces around you and puts you to sleep. So, now you’re unable to move while being afflicted by its Bad Dreams ability on top of taking damage from its move and the other mons’ moves. I definitely struggled way more there than against Red, Cynthia, and even Volo. I’d say some honorable mentions are the fight against Darkrai in Pokemon Ranger, the fight against Nobunaga in Conquest, the battle against Mysterial in Battle Revolution, and there are so many difficult battles in the Colosseum/XD games that I don’t know where to start lol

Your section on Medeus was very lazily put together. First off, are you talking about Medeus from Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light (FE1) or its remake, Shadow Dragon (FE11)? You said the former was tough, but you were showing footage of the latter. Also, both boss fights are VERY different in their respective games. If you’re talking about FE1 Medeus, he’s actually a piece of cake as long as you have the Falchion for Marth. He’s only tough if you didn’t get the Falchion. FE11 Medeus is easy or hard depending on the difficulty. On the lower difficulties (which is what most players will be playing), he’s even easier than FE1 Medeus since Tiki or Nagi can now damage him easily. If you’re talking about Medeus on Merciless Mode, that’s when he truly becomes a nightmare. His stats are so ridiculously high, specifically his 30 Spd that allows him to always double and one-round Marth. The only way to safely kill with without risking death is to take potshots with forged ballistae from Jake & Beck before landing a final blow with your manakete. Your section on Medeus not only made the error of conflating the two versions of Medeus together but also did little to talk about the actual mechanics behind why he’s very tough. If you’re going talk about the toughest boss in each franchise, don’t just say, “My friends said this.” Do the proper research and ask _why_ Medeus is mechanically tough.

For Kirby, I’ve only played Kirby and the Forgotten Land. So here is my rating anyways: 5. Sillydillo. He is quite hard, especially when he curls into a ball. 4. Leongar (phantom) 3. Fecto Elfilis 2. Morpho Knight 1. Chaos Elfilis Easiest: 5. Forgo Dedede 4. Gorimondo 3. All of the minibosses (I put them in order from least annoying to most: Fluerina, Wild Edge, Wild Frosty, Wild Bonkers) 2. Tropic Woods 1. Fecto Forgo. I mean, bruh! This guy throws tiny splats of goo, slowly charges, and moves slowly.

Personally I think Ultra Necrozma is one of the hardest fights in Pokemon, only because if you're going into it blind, you can't cheese the fight, plus it's 5 -10 levels higher than what your team will be at that point *and* it gets a boost in every stat even after already having a BST of 754. That and the famous Cynthia fight is probably harder than Red because Cynthia has a much more diverse and strong team, Red is a difficult battle too, but the Pokemon he uses aren't that big of a deal aside from his Snorlax (and Espeon in G/S/C). Also I think the Ridley fight in Super Metroid is much harder than Phantoon, only because he has way too much health, and if you just resort to spamming missiles, that ain't gonna work because Ridley consistently flies and stabs with his tail and grabs you, the pattern can be figured out but on a first time playthrough, you are almost guaranteed to die atleast once.

About the spider guardian, the save station is like 3 rooms away from the room in which you fight the spider guardian. You can even just skip the cutscene in the energy controller if you already die, this boss is only really hard on the gamecube version of metroid prime 2 as well as you can jump with the morph ball on the wii and trilogy versions of echoes. The boost guardian and emperor ing where way more challenging than this though its a matter of how skilled you as a player are. and for 2D Metroid mother brain in metroid 1 was way more annoying and difficult than phantoon.

Boost Guardian is a legitimately difficult boss. You take constant unavailable environmental damage and healing is very limited, placing this boss on a timer. Timer decreases faster for getting hit. And the absolute max health you can have is 4 e-tanks. This thing is actually unfair on hard/hypermode difficulty. I'm comparison Spider Guardian is just a victim of poor controls on the GC version. Legit, the fact that this dude is considered hard on GC but easy on Wii just shows how the difficulty of this fight comes from the inability to instantly jump on command.

The Spider Guardian isn't even difficult on gamecube... it follows set paths, it is in the light world so you don't slowly die. It is a joke. The only difficulty comes if you panic which if you do and become frustrated then it becomes hard because you're making stupid mistakes.

Lorithia was actually pretty easy imho, just focus on her summons. I found the Jin+Malos fight from 2 to be much worse. And if difficulty modes are eligible, then the Akhos+Malos fight on Bringer of Chaos NG was up there for the most unfun boss fight I've ever done.

Yeah, those pokémon fans online didn't play ultra sun and ultra moon. If you're going blind into the Ultra Necrozma fight without a zoroark or a fat steel type like metagross or aegislash you're basically garanteed to whipe put. Ultra Necrozma is generally overlevelled for what your team should be, has a base stat total of 754 (which is one of the highest in the franchise), it has a x2 boost on every stat, it got a movest which can hit super effective against most of your choices and it's ability Neuroforce he gets another 25% boost to super effective moves (even if it has the raw power to outspeed-oneshot most pokémon even without using super effective moves)

I liked your video here and agree with most of your picks. I have always heard that Bonetail from the thousand year door was the hardest boss in that game though (I do not remember if I ever fought him). Also for star fox yes the SNES is hard but I still always had the most trouble with the star wolf team on the secret side of Venom in Star Fox 64. They were super hard to take out and then you had to follow that up with Brain Andross. Also for the Mario RPG games you should really check out some of the Mario and Luigi games since some of those bosses are really tough. I can't pick one out since I have not played all of them but some are brutal.

-Red's team is honestly not even that strong, it's just his absurd level jump, but it's still possible to beat him while being quite underleveled. Cynthia would probably be the better choice, since her team is far more challenging to deal with. Some totems like Lurantis, as well as Ultra Necrozma, could get a mention. -Maz Koshia can easily be cheesed distracting him with bananas, so there's no way he's the hardest, but I'm not very familiarized with the Zelda series, so I don't know who should be in there. -Phantoon is, hilariously enough, the boss I had the least trouble when I played Super Metroid. Similar to Zelda, I'm not very familiar with the series, so I can't give an answer. -Marx Soul is strong, but... Astral Birth Void exists. However, I never got to fight it, so in terms of personal experiences, Star Dream Soul OS was a nightmare. -And finally, the water ghost was pretty easy. I haven't finished the game yet, but my vote goes to Hellen.
