The Hardest Challenge in Phasmophobia Will Surprise You

Welcome back to Phasmophobia! Today we do one of the hardest challenges in the entire game and it's definitely not what you Expect. It's the friendly ghost challenge. Which is a challenge where you turn off hunts and you also turn off all evidence. Which means that you somehow have to figure out the ghost without ever getting hunted. This was way more interesting than I expected. ENJOY!

If you place an EMF reader on the floor somewhat far from the ghost room and leave it on, when the ghost does a ghost event, if you can hear the distant EMF reader going crazy, then the ghost is probably a Raiju since they can mess with electronics from 5 meters farther than other ghosts.

I feel like this challenge done with one evidence shown could also be a great way to distinguish special ghost interactions with evidence, e.g. Deogen breathing, Goryo dots, etc.

@insym want you to hopefully see this addition to the challenge idea! I agree with you! I would personally love this and honestly would find it much more fun to watch since it would allow nearly, if not all, hidden mechanics possible to encounter and discover. As a challenge, to help balance the 'no evidence', it would be fine if the stipulation to having 1 evidence would be to make it illegal to enter it into the Journal or look at ghost descriptions to find which ghosts have the given evidence. Since it is so random and confusing since we have so many ghosts and their evidence is so random and changed from the original release, it is still hard to identify or rule out a ghost confidently due to 1 evidence, unless you know which ghosts have a forced mandatory evidence which still follows the point of ruling it out based on ghost mechanic knowledge. And having a ghost with evidence that is special still doesn't guarantee that you will get it to happen, like the Deogen breathing. If you don't get it, the evidence still might be useless in helping you discover the ghost with proof.

i could see them removing it if they even attempted to add it a good example is that one game iirc its the ghost hunting game with a ghost called a fallen i think it was called ghost hunters corp/co. For a bit till the copyright issue. (for big map more ghost) i could also see them running out of background stories or something (also itd be like the first actual lore we'd have in phasmo)

I think this mode is good for teaching players about ghost behavior without them being overwhelmed or distracted, especially new players.

I love these no evidence runs. They make the game a fun logic puzzle. 25:23 I personally have several pairs of different shoes. On the one hand you have the practical reason that you sometimes need different styles/levels of formality for different events or weather. You wouldn't wear muddy trail boots to work or nice heels to garden in. There's also the fashion utility of them. Buying an entire new outfit is far more expensive than buying a couple different styles or colors of accessories like shoes/bags/jewelry/jacket but switching them out can make the same outfit look entirely different so you need to buy less clothes and spend less money to make a full wardrobe.

Good point 👍 but I personally have 3 pairs for different things. Formal, heels. Regular/kind of working out, tennis shoes. Hiking, hiking boots. And I get that people can make different outfits pop out by cheaper accessories and that’s great. I just don’t care anymore 😂

Getting a few different accessories to mix and match with the clothing we had meant that each individual outfit could then become two, three, or even more full outfits. I guess you could say my fashion style is "versatility" lol

I always try to find out the ghost without getting hunted. It definitely takes a long time, but the rewards are huge in the end with little to no risk of losing supplies. Friendly ghosts are great for new players to learn how learning ghost behavior plays a role in investigating a ghost.

Day 469 of asking the devs to make it an actual game mode where the ghost never hunts, gets more and more active until we reach 50% sanity, then becomes less active as it drops, and goes dormant at 0% sanity. If you run out of sanity and pills and you still don't know the ghost, you can only make an educated guess because not even freezing and orbs will show anymore.

Raijus technically can be figured out in this challenging by noticing they interfere with electronics from 15m instead of the normal 10m

In regards to the shoe debate you had at around 25 minutes, I almost entirely agree. I've got two pairs of work shoes (one has more ankle support, so I can wear those if my ankle is giving me issues), one super dressy pair, and a pair of "i need the quickest thing I can get on" shoes.

I feel like it would be cool if the Deogen still gave its special spirit box response even in no evidence runs, similar to how a mimic will still show orbs. Now, yes, a mimic doesn't actual have orbs, so it isn't evidence, but I think the Deogen sound is so hard to get since you have to be right on top of the ghost that it will count as the box 'malfunctioning' for that like a banshee paramic sound. Better yet, I would like it if they made the Deogen special spirit box sound a paramic sound instead or as well as.

What if devs will change spirit box special sound into spirit box explosion? And in this case spirit box will not restore after the game so you need to buy it again

I can easily tell how experienced you are because of how much you know about every ghost, and how you can tell certain things happen just by sound. I'm learning so much watching your videos. For the Mare light check, you could have used Monkey Paw and wished for sanity, to give urself 50 sanity, and then use Voodoo to pull pin to see if it would ever interacted with the light switch cus it is forcing ghost to do something. Remove all items from ghost room so it can't touch those, and pull pins :D My guess was Goryo purely cus it never changed room and my Goryos are usually really insane with events and interactions. This was fun to watch tho!

19:07 the onryo does indeed blow out candles more than other ghosts! even when its not because they tried to hunt. thats what it means when its said that they hate candles; they blow them out more, they dont roam away from them :D also ngl i also thought you were gonna say toe socks for swimming and i never wanna think about the feeling of wet toe socks ever, ever again lol

I dunno I get different shirts and pants styles but not shoes, because it's like the absolutely least noticable part of the outfit while also being quite expensive. comparison. It just seems like the most wasteful option I guess.

Agree on the shoe thing, though I would argue to having 1 backup pair to go to the store in in case something happens to your normal shoes is fine. But having different shoes to match different outfits is goofy, just get a pair that generally looks good with anything.

Insym, if you haven't, I have 2 suggestions for a challenge. Suggestion 1: Figure the ghost by using only the cursed item. Only 1 cursed item. Suggestion 2: Figure the ghost by using only 1 hunting tool. Example: just dots, just book, just camera, etc.

My Idea is that... I would like a friendly ghost to be a difficulty with each ghost having a random item being there favourite item (Cursed Item) in which if the player provoke the ghost with their favourite item they will attack but, if the player decides to not use the ghost cursed item they will be safe. also with the ghost attacks will not have any special ability to help you figure out which ghost it is.

I feel like I have too many shoes, but am I? I have one pair of - running shoes - indoor running shoes - outdoor casual all purpose shoes (black flat shoes that fit with everything and are comfortable to walk) - white flats - black flats - ankle boots with heels for fall / spring (I only bought them because I have some pants that are too long, so with heels, I'm fine ^^". Less expensive to buy a pair of shoes then adjusting all the pants) - winter boots - too many heeled sandals for when I feel fancy: a white pair, a black pair, a red pair and a brown pair More than necessary, but doesn't feel exaggerated for me. It's not THAT much ahah.
