So I was in Vegas filming some course vlogs when I got the call from the PGA. They wanted me to catch the next flight to New York and play Bethpage Black the next morning (last day its open). So I obviously said lets do it. I brought my buddy Patrick with me and he had this great idea to play from the tips, but not just the tips the absolute furthest back possible. With Bethpage Black already playing 7465 yards from the back tees that wasn't enough. We were going to play one foot in the rough. Just sit back and enjoy all 42 minutes of this absolute explosion of a round. Part 2 and 3 coming soon!

Dude, I grew up playing the Black. It was the first course I ever broke 90 on. The 4th hole is one of the greatest par 5's in the world. The 5th and the 15th, in my opinion, are among the best par 4's. And 17 is one of the best par 3's.

Long Island is truly one of the best places to golf in the world IMO. Red is also a must play. So many great courses whether difficult or just fun, some right one the water. If anyone in town for the championship I’d be happy to recommend dozens of great courses in the area.

So stupid. I’m a 2 handicap golfer that lives in NYC and I’ve played BP black at least a dozen times. There is no reason to put your back on the rough except to be ridiculed by people. The course is still extremely hard 2 feet closer

Youve gotta find the fairways, dont get greedy. its better to take your medicine on some holes and make bogey, than try a hero shot and make a triple. I played Torrey Pines South 1 month prior to the 2008 US Open. We did the same thing as you, 1 foot inside the back of every tee box you could find. Played around ~7800 yards. I landed every tee shot on the fairway, due to the sideslopes toward the ocean I often rolled out into the "1st" cut. However they had not graduated and blown down the rough like they did for the PGA guys. I played it from fairway to 6" tall Kikuyu. Best off-the-tee day I have ever had, I shot 92. I played Riviera several years later and had similar driving day and shot 77. I bet you guys shoot 84 and 89.

I would guess Brodie 87 and Pat 93 . I used to work at Bethpage and the Black course has always been a very tough course, even more now that the PGA Tour plays there. I have never played the black, but I have played the blue, green , red and yellow courses there. Good times.

You need to play at Arcadia Bluffs in Michigan. The 11th hole goes straight towards Lake Michigan and the green is on the edge of a 200ft drop down to the lake. Then you tee off on 12 right next to the drop off. People hill balls off the tee box into the lake all the time. It’s ranked the 13th best public golf course in the US.
