Squamish is such a great place to ride. Heading back again this May for more fun! It's all about the front brakes baby! To much back braking and your back wheel will pass you! Good job hitting some of those challenging lines.
@rubbersidedown56202 жыл бұрын
Haha I'm from Squamish and "You got your film man, you did it!" for sure :) You had me fearing for your life with how fast you went down that In and Out Burger slab though! And then to see Yuka absolutely pinballing her way down and somehow surviving is a thing to behold. Her willingness to just send stuff is unreal. If you swap to using some Maxxis Assegai tires front and rear and change out your organic brake pads for some sintered/metallic ones you'll find those slabs 100x easier, it'll be like having cheat codes and you can creep down those giant slabs and even accidentally do nose manuals because you'll have so much grip and braking power.
@DailyMTBRider2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, I'm looking back at the truth that I was going too fast! And I think I have metallic pads but who knows! Thanks for the tips, I can't wait to go back!
@rubbersidedown56202 жыл бұрын
@@DailyMTBRider A quick way to check what kind of brake pads you have is to throw some water on them. If you have metallic pads your brakes will stop on a dime, if they are some other type of compound your brakes will squeal like mad and be really hard to stop.

Let's freaking ride!!! Early on riding mtb can be the most dangerous time. You can start to tackle some more technical features, but you don't yet realize how rudimentary your skills actually are. surprises can cause big crashes, and not knowing how to crash can have you landing on vital body parts.
