The current huge sales show how much bikes and parts are marked up. 'Top of the line' carbon bikes are sold 50% off. I got my Demo 1k off and even that sale is gone now. 2-3k bikes are sold with barely any discount. Some bikes are more overpriced than others.

I assume these bikes mentioned are for use anywhere but the uk. Here they restrict the motor to 250w and wont allow throttle drive. That is the law in the uk unfortunatly although some people by e bikes here with 500- 600 dual motor bikes.

retrospect is an amazing bike around this price point. I have one and it's amazing, it charges in 6 hours and goes for about 45 miles realistically (it says higher but it's lower if you use more PAS) a high weight limit, it's very comfortable and comes with a light.

Totally mislead wrong information. The orice makes a difference , battery size volts say 52 compare to 16 , the freaking speed some can do 35mph and cheaper ones only 16 to 20 mph..

Sorry, but this is not totally accurate. Frames are different. Suspension is different. Top speed, torque and weight are different. AH on batteries is different. Controllers different.

What I think is no bicycle should be upwards of $10,000-$14,000 even these bikes are still overpriced in my opinion something like this I think we should go for about 1500 to 1800

I found a statement in a vlog of a roadie which couldn`t be more fitting: they stopped making the bikes the customer needed and only produced stuff we all wanted - highend gear which basically (nearly) nobody could (and possibly) want to afford. I mean we all are nerds, which would not refuse to ride such bikes if we could, but i cannot not afford e.g. a bike beyond 8 grand (and for some brands this would be a medium specced bike). I go into drones and then after that bad changes for personal flying in areas you can't anymore. So, now I wonder what will be next for us using ebikes. I find cops that hate them and others that like them. I worry ebiking in Washington State. I now have two ebikes and ready for another. My Eahora has been bad since I bought a new one. I need to put a sign on my ebike for folks that don't understand strokes. My plan is to ride over Eastern Washington from west. Reason why I bought a 60-amp battery ebike, that way I don't have to have three more batteries anymore. Ebikes are completely different and safe if one takes it easy riding like I do. I have fallen twice once really bad and the other fine. Heck, I have fallen down two super bad on a standard bicycle. Once on a bike is possible for a bad since. I now just hope standard bicycles should be nice to us with ebikes. I ride every time abought 50 to 80 miles, I get to see places otherwise I just seat and don't do anything after stroke. I just noticed something weird about the inside. At 1:20 I noticed above the passenger door and the two rear seats, there is a Handle that people can grab, to help people with balance issues (such as seniors) in entering or exiting the vehicle. However I didn't see one over the Driver's Seat! Then at 6:30, it's confirmed.... there is no Handle over the driver's seat! That's annoying, as I have Left Leg Problems, so getting in and out is an issue.

I like the Water Bottle Feature in the doors. Notice on the inside of the door, the arm rest doesn't go all the way across. There's actually a space for a tall bottle of water or whatever you like to carry.

I have a '24 EcoBoost. No problems except for a sometimes glitchy phone connection w entertainment system. I follow the Maverick Truck Club site and it seems the hybrids are fraught with problems. I didn't want a truck without AWD anyhow.

It's absolutely insane for you to be excited at the bike and component prices. Those prices are more than many are willing to pay for a bike.

Bikes are way too expensive and there is too much repetition of bike types. There's tons of choices of road, mountain, gravel bikes that are at ridiculous prices and very few bikes for "normal" people. The bike industry isn't encouraging new people to ride. They're trying to cater to a market that already does ride. People want nice, less expensive comfortable bikes that they can ride casually or use to go with the kids to the park or get in some activity, but not to road race. Even hybrids are an uncomfortable mess, all of them with top bars that while angled, still aren't easy to get over for say women who may be shorter and have given birth. Bikes just aren't being made for real people, unless you go to Walmart and get a super heavy poorly made $170 bike. So the option is often cheap crap (that is getting better) that might work for normal people or very expensive copy and paste bikes with unapproachable top bars.

Specialised is a shady company. All the way back to its beginning. Now grown to a greedy bloated business filled with egos & creeps.

Even at $1000 for a e-bike that is a lot of money - and if it is a dud, yikes. Spend a lot of time doing research b4 buying one.

i finally chose a tacoma over the maverick cause we have a fleet of newer fords and they all end up having either a blown motor or trans at around 200k km lol

I own that very (exact same model) Velowave Ranger that I purchased barely used by an enthusiastic orig owner that added $1K of cool aftermarket upgrades - Mint condition (ridden twice to the store on flat pavement by the wife who deemed it was too heavy (75 lbs) for her. Believable considering the perfect condition. Poor Hubby) - I purchased for $1K. I am an older rider (65 yrs) and the pedal assist is fabulous and the fat tires are great for mid-difficult-level trail rides. The weight is a bit daunting for most however, I'm a big strong guy (6'2" / 220lbs) and its way, way lighter than a dirt bike, and less smelly. lol Tip/Hack = EZ Peel off the fork stickers and replace with white "Maserati" stickers (Cheap on eBaY) and watch the looks you get... ;) Also: A suspension seat post = Heaven.
