Brother, that’s real. We lost one guy after most of us had gotten out…to a motorcycle accident. We lost another that did re-enlist while he was at the PX with his wife and daughter. Just collapsed. And it seems like every day I think more and more that if there is a God (which I think there likely is) he doesn’t really care about the details that happen here, or if there is a god and he loves us, then we are in hell already.

People have destroyed other peoples lives and filled other people with permanent pain and that pain never goes away, how can you measure that through Karma? That's like saying I killed my neighbor this morning because he walked in on me banging his wife. I knew to expect my karma shortly thereafter so I was able to plan for every little scenario to avoid any serious consequence. That in and of itself isn't the definition of Karma. Karma will show it's head when you least expect it and when your at your lowest or your highest....And then guess what. I could very well live out the rest of days banging his wife and pissing on his grave that I dug in my back yard. I could die of natural causes at the ripe old age of 91. Anyone such as you who suspected me of my crimes might feel like I got away scott free and maybe here in mans world and under mans law I did. But now I'm apart of something totally new and different. Maybe karma now comes and the full weight of my crimes now crushes my soul beyond anything imaginable, certainly beyond the minds ability to understand in our current form...

Til Valhalla brother, I know your pain, served with my best friend of all time, more of a brother than my own older brother, always looked out for me, shared the same blood in the same mud, and we come home from Iraq we go our separate ways across the country and a week later I get a phone call from his father saying he was killed in a motorcycle accident. I've never cried so hard in my life and still do every time the day he passed comes up on the calender. They are waiting for us, it's just not our time yet, but I believe when it finally is it will be the most glorious day to be able to see him again and embrace him as the brother I never had.
