Radical Red has you constantly making strategies to overcome hurdles. In Hardcore Mode, gym leaders have effects without needing to set them up and they never go away (for example Surge has constant electric terrain, Sabrina has constant trick room and Koga has constant tailwind). This makes it so you can't kill the trick room setter in the Sabrina battle because there is no trick room setter. I had to use some slow pokemon, set their Speed IV to 0 and give some of them Iron Balls to slow them down. Ended up using stuff like Selfdestruct Galvanize Alolan Golem paired with a Volt Absorb pokemon.

I think I remember when I did this, I realized the problem was Excadrill had Sand Rush and my Ninetails didn't have Snow Warning. So to beat him, I made it so Ninetails has Snow Warning, and I think gave her Blizzard in the process. Excadrill just stood there confused I think since I don't remember it attacking my 4x weak to steel Ninetails while I just disrespected it with Blizzards in it's face like I was having a food fight at Dairy Queen.

The reason the single battle gym leaders have seemingly random pokemon that don't match up type wise (like Blaine's Venasaur or Claire's Magearna) is so that they can have a pivot pokemon for switching. Switching a fire type to another fire type means that the new pokemon is likely to be hit by a water type move, taking severe damage or being ohko-ed when coming in. If you have a grass pivot, then you can soak up the water move as not very effective damage and then switch to your fire type when the opponent goes to use a fire type move on your grass type. This means your new fire type only takes 1/2 damage when switching in instead of x2.

I can explain the “Above the level cap” one. You see, when you catch a dexnav Pokémon enough/use the dexnav to catch a Pokémon enough times, it’s search level increases and with that, it increases the chance of it being a higher level than usual. I experienced this with Lugia in my randomizer run. It’s usually level 13 but one was level 22.

Still amazed I beat a triple battle Siebold with no grass or electric types in the first try. The best I had was Mega Zard Y's Drought and Solar Beam combo, and he had a Drizzle Politoad.

Toxtricity appears to be based on Agama lizards (which are brightly coloured and share the same spiky hairdo as Toxtricity), and/or tree frogs. Its overall appearance seems to be a Newt larva metamorphosing into a adult (since its spiky hair resembles gills) which may imply why it has the Poison type.

The best move set that's good for a poison grass type 1. Sleep power 2. Leech seed 3. Giga drain 4. Grass attack move Step 1 immediately put it to sleep Step 2. If your low on health use leech seed Step 3. Use giga drain to gain back more health also do damage to you opponent 4. Repeat this until your good on health and then attack it and if it wakes up put it back to sleep And continue to attack it
