I'm 26 and I've been diagnosed with stage 5 cancer for a week now, and i think I'm gonna die too, i was just upset for a few hours, then i decided that i just want to read books, the books that I've postponed reading them for years in order to do more important stuff in life like my career in engineering. This gave me chill, doing my favorite hobby without worrying about life anymore. But hardest thing for me is that I don't have any legacy, I've read lot's of books and learnt everything in science my whole life, but didn't teach anybody the beauties of science, i live in islamist county, the stupidity of people bothered me for a good portion of my life,i always i wanted to teach people about science and make children fell in love with science in order to fight back superstitions of religion, but i didn't do any of them, this bothers me a lot

Perplexity has been an absolute boon for solving smaller scale lifestyle/fitness and health problems, its ability to answer complex queries and provide medical and anecdotal source material depending on the question is incredible, goes a long way towards defusing hypochondriac tendencies and the stress reduction from that has been no small thing. I can also relay this information to people in my life who might not know/use these tools so I've seen the positive network effects irl. Hope you have a good one Dave.

Glad you are recovering! I also started coming down with neurological symptoms in 2019 after a tailbone injury. At the time i didn't realize i had injured my tailbone and i developed extreme sciatica while i was working a very manual labor job. Towards the end of 2019 i had to leave my job and i also found out my tailbone had bent the wrong direction after i had fallen on it. Immediately my sciatica went away after a few weeks after seeing the chiropractor. Unfortunately my story only begins in late 2019, i had started getting weird neurological symptoms and food sensitivities and unable to digest anything really. I developed extreme insomnia, panic attacks, anxiety attacks and i went on walks to try to tire myself out so i could sleep at night but i started having heart palpitations, etc. After countless visits to ER and everytime they said everything was normal and basically in my head. 2020 arrives with the lockdowns and i wasn't able to see a doctor until fall of 2020. I suspected i had H pylori, and sure enough with a stool test i was able to get diagnosed with that. I was prescribed a triple therapy which included 2 antibiotics and a proton pump inhibitor. Ahhh it's going to be easy and all behind me now.. right? No. After just 1 out of 2 needed weeks to complete the course of antibiotics i began to develop significantly more neurological symptoms, panic attacks, and anxiety attacks. On the 7th day, i developed tinnitus which has persisted for 5 years now. Each time i closed my eyes, my entire face muscles would start jerking and quivering uncontrollable and the blood in my legs felt like they were on fire and boiling. Literally my entire body felt like it was on fire. My appetite was completely zero at all times, my thirst was completely gone at all times. I literally began to eat and drink just according to what time it was because there was no other indicator i should be doing it. Imagine being a human being without any appetite or thirst. After alot of researching of symptoms, symptoms of vitamin and mineral deficiencies, etc i was convinced alot of my health problems were caused by B vitamin deficiencies especially thiamine (b1). Sure enough taking a b complex completely stopped my panic and anxiety attacks for the moment, and i was able to start sleeping without randomly waking up at the sound of any light noise. Unfortunately my digestion remained broken, even after trying dozens and dozens of different supplements like enzymes, bile salts, herbals and many other natural antibiotics. Literally have a room filled to the brim with supplements, a large amount of money wasted on amazon purchases. I also was prescribed rifaximin to treat SIBO, that did absolutely nothing because it's soluble in bile and my liver was jacked up. Effectively my body is completely on the fritz, just a systemic malfunction of the autonomic nervous system and an immune system that has also shut down. I've been unable to get the flu or a cold ever since 2019. Now you might think that's a good thing but to me that is an inverse indicator of a problem. Every once a while you want to get sick and come down with the flu, it shows that your immune system is working and fighting the virus load in your body effectively. So i've left out many many many details, doctor visits, naturopathic doctor visits, etc and honestly i'm pretty much just hanging on by a thread at this point. Just clueless of what i can be doing to help myself. My 5 years of continuous suffering has been hell so i can't imagine 9 years if you've had other symptoms such as myself, i don't want to get into comparison games but suffering is suffering and honestly we need to put human health as a priority but i already know the answer why that isn't the case. Hopefully you continue and make a full recovery!

So glad you're on the mend! One of the main recurring themes I have heard over the years (while working on life sciences and healthcare system projects) is the lament that "standard practice" medical study in the US is systematically bypassing nutrition as an area of study. But you're probably already aware of the importance of probiotics from your discussions with the LLMs. Anyway, best wishes for your continued recovery.

I have a healthy diet and exercise regularly and I am still chronically fatigued. I do not drink or smoke. People dont realize how debilitating and depressing chronic fatigue is. question: Did you eat the meat raw? did you put like salt, pepper, butter or anything else on it? Did you eat fish? Good luck with recovery, you already seemed productive af, so be interested in what you accomplish now. I agree wrt AI... it has been extremely helpful wrt medical and general health. The ability to have seen everything recall it and make the appropriate connections is pretty mind blowing. The funny thing is that the intelligence multiplication is outsized for those who are intelligent and write accurately and completely. If you don't describe the gamut of related symptoms and facts, or recall that something obscure may be relevant, the AI may miss the connection. Programming xp is a great way to learn to accurately describe things in a prompt. It teaches you to describe things accurately to the extent something else can follow your instructions.

Another beautiful walk in the woods, David. I can't believe it took your doctors almost a decade to ask for a stool sample. Crazy. But i'm glad to hear you're getting things figured out. These kind of issues can be completely debilitating. As you know. The gut biome is your second brain. If it's not doing well, neither are you. One food poisoning incident has changed my entire life. So you might say i've been here and still living that. I've taken tons and tons of prebiotic and probiotic. As I'm trying to help my gut biome recover. Unfortunately, I think I keep eating the things that feed the bad microbes. We are what we eat, and so are they. From vegan to carnivore. The Microbiom completely changes. It's actually a bathroom s***Show if you switch to rapidly to one or the other. Well only for a couple of weeks. As the system is flushed of the microbes that like to consume one food or another. Microbe populations live and die depending on what you eat. Unfortunately, the bad bugs seem to be a bit more stubborn. AI helping you figure it all out is going to be amazing! If we dream the dream for a minute. What's it gonna be like when you're running again on all cylinders?? The tenacity to want to do things out of your normal comfort zone? To thrive again 365. To go places and soak up those moments. Like grounding knee-deep in a body of water. Does it take some sort of disabilitating trauma to appreciate the little things? Perhaps. Exploring new rabbit holes that one would have never dreamed of. Speaking of dreams. I still have one of AI helping with micro city superstructures. The future of sustainable housing, i believe. Although you might ask AI if that is true or not. That is if you're looking for something to do... Thank you, David, for sharing. ✌️🤟🖖

Until after so much digging I found the answer and at the same time I found a good functional doctor that works tightly with a nutritionist, and specially the nutritionist identified the problem immediately. So now I am also treating for SIBO / SIFO. Have you heard about the SIBO yogurt from dr William Davis ? Is a home made "yogurt" that you make with Lactobacillus Reuteri, Lactobacillus gasseri and coagulans. It's great for healing SIBO and prevent it. So now I am making it at home plus taking medication to remove candida

Maybe a video on what you did to get AI to help would be cool

Ah.... he looks so cute with that white winter scarf around his neck. Only thing missing from this video is him giving nose kisses to Bambi. Having got that out of my system, I'm glad you are feeling healthy again. Hopefully healthy enough to run for labor secretary to clear up the mess that will be left behind by the new DT administration.

Thumbs up for burning and replacing the American medical system with AI. It can't get any worse. (TM) How's your book going man? I'm working on a course for efficient/modern problem solving. The ability that modern AI tools have to mitigate suffering like your case is really inspiring. Thanks a lot for your thoughts over the last couple years despite your conditions, it's helped refined my own ideas. Anyway, take care of yourself. Have a good one.

I’m interested to know more about your protocol. I think I’ve had the same thing for the past five years.

Burnout = cortisol deficiency. Autoimmune issues = testosterone and cortisol deficiency. Sometimes also too much T3 and / or too much estradiol. This feeling of having to die is also usually due to cortisol deficiency.

Dealt with this stuff (all the way to years of suicidal behavior) for a quarter century. These problems are in some cases a mask for a different kind of issue--insufficient computational power to run your avatar. You know it if your "frame rate" perceptibly drops. Mine has been as low as 3FPS at times; had to hang on to things to keep upright. I've had other problems too, like bad motion retargeting, where the perception of your limbs doesn't match your avatar's physiology. And don't get me started on all the loops and hangups and hiccups in NPC behavior... When in doubt, look for a computer scientific answer first. Biology is strictly a function of CS.

Hey so I will be in a few weeks 18 and I have migraine. Pretty intense. The neurologist said pretty much that I have bad luck. It’s not fun. I hope Ai will help in the future but it’s not right now. Idk. I’m kind of glad that I live in Berlin and don’t have to deal with the American health care system but it’s pretty hard to get anything done. I waited like 6 months for an appointment. Really. I am glad that you are better and it’s interesting how you used Ai for this. It’s the right way? Idk. You are looking kind of optimistic that Ai will help everyone. I have some worries that much humans/ I won’t profit as much/ the Ai won’t help us this much and will mostly work for the rich. I hope it won’t be that way but I worry. ❤

Hope that the food you were eating wasn’t triggering your condition. Modern diets are not suited to humans. I have personally benefited from restricting processed carbs and other carbs.

I was solving my autoimmune issue for 15 years and then solved it completely. The worst thing is the knowledge is out there, but you just won't find it. AI can mean a huge difference, but not the current AI.
