I got really good at this game a while ago and played it religiously. It’s a ton of fun. Pretty glitchy, and the grapple hooks got changed significantly at some point, but learning how to use that funky stuff to your advantage is pretty much a part of the game. Melee weapons are half of the combat, though. If not more so. Assassin and sailor are both entirely in-your-face classes that are designed to take alternative paths and flank from out of nowhere. The grapple hook isn’t an escape method unless you know how to jump on time to give yourself a speed boost- it’s a way to get to your target faster or cut them off. The shurikens/throwing knives are difficult to aim and don’t deal particularly good damage, even on a headshot. You use them in tandem with your melee to either soften the target up or finish them off. In and out. Warriors and Buccaneers are just outright powerful if you can aim. Melees are slow but really powerful, two shots with potential to instakill, and frag grenades. Only really vulnerable to a better sniper or being rushed down before they can act. I dont like archers but the arrows are incredibly strong if you learn how to aim them. Archer is a little weaker overall but can shoot faster, crossbowman takes longer to load but deals way more damage. Traps help keep you from being flanked if you know where to expect somebody to come from. Musketeer is odd. The headshots can still kill, but it feels less accurate and the thing has four shots. Melee is hilariously strong, and smoke grenades are my favorite approach tool. Great at mid-close range but suffers everywhere else. Gunner is just a shotgun. My favorite class. Getting just outside of melee range is a guaranteed instakill. Incredibly strong, balanced out by a very weak melee that can’t be swung much, and smoke grenades. The smokes are still my favorite, and it’s scary to fight in close quarters where you KNOW a gunner is. Filling a corridor or open field with smoke forces people to focus on that area or get jumpscared from it, or try to beat you at your own game and charge through it. Makes a fantastic bait-and-switch against people who know how the game works, or a free kill on somebody who doesn’t. The hyper-aggressiveness of the gunner makes it a ton of fun for me.

for me this game is not that hard. the ammo crates around the map are very usefull and if you just run and slide around in circles while reloading so you dont get shot you can take out a whole team. using that strategy i got 24 kills and only 3 deaths

Gunner uses a shotgun, if your close you can pretty much one shot with your eyes closed but is horrible at medium to long ranges. (So yes, it is a one-shot body shot but only most of your pellets connect.) He's basically scout, go on flank routes and blast them with a meat shot them when they round a corner.

@@StriderPF Yeah, it sucks. But it's the most fun gun in the game IMO. Just round a random corner and blast some unfortunate soul, plus only having one shot that needs most of its pellets connected to do any damage makes it so much more stressful! It's very hit or miss and punishing but very fun. I guess if I wanted to WIN then the other guns would be a better choice. But I wanna frag out and get my dopamine hits!
